Very good screen for a great price. Bought it for occasional use *outside*. Didn't want to go crazy price wise given this, and this screen is perfect in price and in quality. It did arrive with some minor dings and dents in the casing, but they were 1.) relatively unnoticeable 2.) really didn't matter since the casing was almost completely hidden anyway 3.) there is no doubt it only a matter of short time before I bang it up putting it up and down outside - totally expected. The screen is of very good quality, and even with the old projector I used, the picture looked very good. Extremely please with the result, and even more pleased with the price. Since it is outside it is susceptible to wind, so I may have to weight anchor the bottom, but no big deal. *For my usage* with a hanging screen, wind and rain are my enemy, but I like the roll-up screens over fixed screens or hanging mats. In the picture you can see the shadows from the pergola are wavy due to the wind when I took the picture - probably about an 8-10mph wind. I didn't get a chance to look more closely before this review, but the triangle connectors to mount (hang) the screen might have to be reinforced for outdoors (given wind). For normal/expected usage they look to be perfectly fine/wouldn't expect any issues. The screen rolls smoothly up and down and lock easily into position. I also had it hanging inside. Obviously worked just a well. Work great for me, would totally recommend for basic projections (indoors AND out!). Hanging it was a breeze in both spots I hung it. Joints/wood was exposed so just used some 2 in. eye screws and 2 carbines hooked to the eye screws to the triangle hangers on the screen - about 5 minutes for each. Forgot to take pictures of it when in use, but if I remember will post next time and give an update.

This is a great screen for the price. Like others, the housing on my screen had a dent in it from shipping, but I got it straightened out to the point that it is pretty tough to see fairly easily. More importantly, I was disappointed to find when I opened the box that one of the metal rings used to hang the screen was missing. Since I was planning on hanging it from above, I needed those rings, and I thought I was going to have to return it. I sent a quick message to the seller asking for a replacement ring or a whole new end cap that has the mounting hardware on it, expecting him to tell me to pack it back up, go drop it off, and pay for return shipping and he'd send another. This screen is rather large and unwieldy, and I really wasn't looking forward to the process of returning it. To my pleasant surprise, a couple days later I received a small package with a pair of new end caps. A few screws off and on later, I had a perfectly functional screen without any of the hassle I expected.

Hanging it was easy. Rather than buying some overpriced specialty projector screen mounting bracket, I went to the hardware store and got a pair of thick stainless L brackets, a pair of threaded hooks, and a few matching nuts to secure it together. It was about 5 bucks total. The screen pulls up and down easily, though the pole on the bottom is little on the cheap side. I guess that's to be expected for something in this price range. The screen itself is definitely nice enough to make up for it though. I haven't noticed any imperfections and the picture is much sharper than projecting onto a wall.

For this size range, I believe this is probably the best screen you can get for the price.

UPDATE: Now that I have had the screen for about a year it still rolls up and down fine, but is starting to curl length-wise and has a wave wrinkle in it that is annoying for panning shots or objects moving horizontally across the screen. For the price, this is still a good screen, but YMMV.

Hard to beat this for the price, most other screens on Amazon start around $100 and most are strictly 16x9 (which would be fine for newer projectors). I use the extra screen pull down to block light from the window that is directly behind the screen, so this acts not only as my surface but also as a blackout curtain for the room. With a standard 16x9 screen I would not be able to block as much light. The roll up mechanism can take a couple of pulls to engage (instead of just pulling the screen down farther), but so far I have had no real problems.

4 year update:
Screen fell from my ceiling about 2 years ago and has a big dent in the body, but the screen still goes up and down smoothly. The screen has more waviness and edge curls now and I'm thinking about getting a new screen. I use my screen maybe 6 - 12 hours a week and the rest of the time it is retracted. For $60 it is extremely hard not to recommend this for someone that just wants a surface that is nicer than a plain wall. Unless the quality has degraded since I bought mine, this is worth $60, but not much more.

When I was looking at these Projection screens you can find them in every price range, low to high. Great screen for the price! It seemed very similar to the expensive screen I had in my classroom. I bought this screen for an outdoor scary movie night. I had a projector already and didn't want to just use a bed sheet because I knew it would really reduce picture quality. This screen was perfect! It came well packaged in a large box. The screen rolls up into a metal casing. There are two triangular metal loops for mounting. We bought some hooks from Home Depot and screwed them into our eaves. Mounting took less than five minutes. The screen looked really good. The only issue was that there were one or two really small spots on the screen where the white coating on the screen had chipped off and you could see a tiny spot of the black. I'm sure they could easily be fixed with some white out or something, but I hardly noticed them and you could not see them at all with the projector on. It didn't bother me enough to even take off a star, especially with the price I paid.

I almost bought the DIY projector screen fabric, but chose to just buy this instead and I'm really glad I made that choice. I realized that the supplies needed to make the DIY screen look good (felt tape, wood, brackets and screen) would have added up to nearly the same price or more. The DIY screen would also have been nearly impossible to store and not damage. As I had bought this for a one night event, I knew I would need to store it. This Best Choice screen was so easy to store because I could just roll it up and throw it in the garage.

I always wanted a home cinema setup, but always deemed it too expensive. I decided to take the plunge and shopped around, got a pretty good cheap projector, and sound bar and was really undecided about the screen. Decided on this one because it was cheaper than the known brands for the size, had good reviews and was, to be honest expecting it to not be that great, but hey I was on a budget. First thing to say, this sucker is huge! Fits right where I was gonna put it perfect. The spring mechanism works perfect and once I got everything set up, it awesome and I am glad I got it, not that I get to use it to watch my movies, my kids have hijacked it and don't want to watch tv anymore! But I don't mind, the look on my four year old face when he seen disney cars on this huge screen was worth twice the price. Mine came with a kink on the back of the casing that I don't care about as it cannot be seen and does not affect the operation. This screen is huge but deceptively light for the size, I managed to hang it myself. Would recommend this to anyone setting up a home cinema on a budget, in fact my brother in law just got the same one after seeing mine and mounted it in his yard for outdoor movie nights and looks great.
