4.0 out of 5 stars Well built motorcycle hitch for cost
By PJ ORTEGA on March 21, 2019
I wanted to take the time to write a review on this hitch rack. The box came on-time and in great shape, no scratches, packaging was good. This is a pretty solid unit, meaning heavy and sturdy.
I unboxed the pieces and got to work, took about 30 minutes total to do it properly.
I did read the reviews and have to say I am pretty impressed by the cost. I built the unit on the car instead of having to line it up and pick up the entire piece after, so I would recommend attaching the hitch first.
After installing and testing the dirt bike , I went and tightened everything again. It does have a little play from side to side via the two side pieces, not a big deal as it is bolted in 8 places in the center.
I know a lot of people complained about the ramp, looks like the one I received is pretty solid and has a notch so it does not slip (picture included of notch). I would just say, if it was a pinch wider it would be perfect.
All in all it looks solid, I would’ve given it a fifth star if the long bolts that the tires sit on didn’t pull the side pieces in if you over tighten them and if the ramp was a bit wider.
All in all this seems to be a solid bike hitch for the cost and quality of construction.
I will update the review after I have used it a few times.
Remember to get a hitch lock anti-rattle unit. It’s cheap and will help stabilize the whole thing (picture included)

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost the best it can get
    By Greg M. on July 7, 2016
In lieu of a more expensive trailer, I opted for this trailer hitch motorcycle rack and so far, it's an excellent solution:

    Pros:
    - It's easy to assemble.
    - Heavy paint should last a long time. (If not, a little spray paint will fix it up)
    - Heavy, rugged construction holds by 250lb bike perfectly. (Holds up to 500lbs)
    - Sensible design makes it easy to load/unload your dirt bike

    Cons:
    - Bad instructions which weren't useful. The most useful part for assembling was a simple picture. My concern was not assembling it correctly and risking dangerous conditions
    - The anchor bolt is a bit confusing, not even sure I'm using it properly. This is the bolt which slides into the hitch-mount part and the screw slides into. You have to bend the thing to make it hold in place for tightening down. It seems to work.

Overall, I'm super happy with this setup.
My dirt bike (Honda CRF230F) rolls up onto the thing, clams down with ratchet straps so it's secure.
It cost the fraction of a cost of a trailer plus it's more easily stored in the garage.

I'll post an update if anything goes wrong of I need to update this.

    Update: 7/25/2016
Found my first grievance about this product: Removed one star
    - They include the little ramp to roll the bike up onto the rack. However, they failed to design into it a means to keep the ramp from sliding off left or right while you're rolling the bike up onto it.
    - The result is that often times, the ramp slips off left or right leading to dangerous conditions with a heavy bike injuring the user

    Suggested fix:
    - Slightly modify the ramp design to prevent it from slipping left or right. Something like a simple notch and channel would do the trick, or even a bolt through the center.

Whatever the case, this product may be an initial version but it needs a fix for that.
With two people rolling a 250lb bike up on the rack, it almost slipped of onto my buddy.
