I added a Nano Striker with some char-cloth and gave the flint and steel to my son for his kit. I also added some zip ties, a micro fiber cloth, paper clips, nail clippers, mole skin, and some gorilla tape. I would highly recommend to open this up taking everything out and repacking it a few times to you get an idea how to pack it. USE YOUR STUFF, that is the biggest problem preppers forget to do is use their stuff. Break your gear out and use it every other month so when SHTF you are familiar enough with it to be effective.
A bit pricey and probably not much use to a complete novice but it has a lot of useful things and a very little spare room for you to add a thing or two.
What it doesn't have are antibiotics for wounds and a knife. It has everything else. I added to it a Swiss knife and some antibiotic ointment and it is all good now.
I am sure one can build a better pack if living in the country. However I live in the city and it really is an excellent starter choice.
