This is my (I mean my toddler's) favorite Richard Scarry Book. Lowly worm is an adorable character, noble, and with great manners. I like the theory that he can put on his own pants and even wears underwear, despite only having one leg and no arms. Other than that, I casually reference Lowly worm in daily conversation with my toddler due to his stellar good manners and habits.

The beginning/end covers have lowly worm shaping each letter of the alphabet - this is a great way to start and end the book, with us tracing him/the letter.

Finally, gold bug makes a surprise appearance in nearly every page (or every story line/mini chapter). He is even on the cover and in the preface. If you are tired of reading, you can convert reading the whole storybook to just looking for goldbug on every page.

This book is published and mailed from UK, which surprises me.
It's printed in China and the quality of print isn't the best, the ink has a sligt fuzzy edge. Cover paper is very sturdy.
Story is good, funny, age appropriate for preschoolers.

‘Best Lowly Worm Book Ever!’ made by Richard Scarry is one of those books for children that you will be happy to have on shelf, even when your children will be too old to read such lovely books.

Actually ‘Best Lowly Worm Book Ever!’ is book that was finished by author’s son Huck Scarry, after this hidden masterpiece was found, and I’m sure many parents will share my opinion how glad I’m it appeared on market.

The book main character is Lowly Worm who will participate in many activities during the whole day in which young reader will follow him – from the morning, time spent on the farm, at school, driving in his apple car, helping friend always in move, until the night.

Using the book young reader will be able to learn many new words, learn how to count, play games and many other interesting thing what made this book quickly one of the most popular for my kid, her favorite part being “Where's Lowly?” chapter.

In between we get to see Lowly play hide and seek, practice counting, and work with different community members. This is definitely a book that you'll want to read more than once. There is so much to see on each page.

‘Best Lowly Worm Book Ever!’ is really beautiful and educational book which will be read many times and fully enjoyed, equally because of its nice illustrations full of vivid colors and great story.

Therefore, this work full of inspiration for kids made by Richard and his son Huck Scarry that speaks about a bit about everything, and during its reading children learn a lot about everyday life, is a work that I can fully recommend.

This is a fantastic Lowly Worm book. You find out a lot about him. Lowly doesn't have a full time job of his own, so he just helps people all day every day! I guess it's his good karma that landed him a place to stay with Huckle and his fam. I love Lowly Worm, he is truly an inspirational character--he is a model citizen and Busytown is lucky to have him.

This is definitely a favorite of the Scarry books. I love that it was a joint effort with his son. There are a variety of stories, not too much drawing on the pages, and we loved looking at all the things Lowly can do. I highly recommend it.

Lowly Worm was my niece's most favorite character in the world when she was little. We still love Lowly very much. It is a lot of fun to find him in the pages of the Richard Scarry books. I really do like this book a lot and would recommend it for some good one on one with your little children. There is always a lot to talk about when you read this book. Lowly is great.

Good and easy for my 2 year old to follow along with. Probably better for a younger child like mine as there is not as much going on on each page as in some other books. Sometimes busier is not better, although for me reading it this one is not very interesting.
