When diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (osa) I was first fitted with a Resmed Mirage Quattro medium-sized mask. I found the mask itself bulky and virtually impossible to get comfortable with on a regular pillow. With time I grew accustomed to the mask and resigned myself to have this mask become my nemisis with benefits. I had been aware of the Quattro FX shortly after i started using my Resmed S9 but of course my insurance wouldn't cover it. I found that the large mask allowed more comfort with the Mirage Quattro (even though the respiratory tech used the Resmed sizing device and said the medium was correct). I've been looking on-line and only seen this mask at a palsy 135 USD on Amazon. Once I came across this listing (58 USD) I did the math and even with buying the head strap and cushion separate from eBay, the price was still cheaper than buying the whole assembly. Once ordering this part, I got the remaining parts as described above, much to my surprise once I got this item in the mail, it was the whole mask - head strap and cushion! I'm not sure if it was a mistake or if the part# is wrong, but the price for this mask is dirt cheap. In regards to fit, the mask is a fraction of the Mirage (I guess that's what the FX stands for). I'm not going to shine you on about how this mask will feel like you're not wearing anything on your face, but it is less bulky, a little lighter, and more flexible compared to the Mirage. I use a full face mask as I'm predominantly a mouth breather, thus the nasal mask was not an option (chin strap was ineffective).
