I use to be able to buy this OTC and then it disappeared behind the pharmacy desk, so I had to start ordering from the pharmacist. Now I buy it on-line.
The primary use for this is wound cleansing, but yes, if you have stinky pits or feet you can use this occasionally (rinse well, it might leave a harmless faint brown stain otherwise) to get rid of body odor causing bacteria.
I say "MORE" safe but don't get it in your eyes, keep out of reach of children and pets, etc. Safer for the environment also that some other substances.
