For those out there that struggle with similar underarm issues especially when they exercise, you may want to try using this product to cleanse under the arms. It disinfects and kills bacteria that naturally accumulates under the arms. To most people this is simply manageable with soap and deodorant but to some it can be a challenge to control with typical methods. This product is very effective to control underarm "issues!" It is safe and with regular use there is even no need to use deodorant even when you exercise. At least this has been my experience. Deodorant can contain chemicals that are not very safe to our bodies, so using this skin cleanser is an added benefit if you worry about the use of deodorant.

I hope this helps someone out there that may be looking for an effective way to control this "issue" with their underarms. I added a link of some person that also used it with positive results. [...]

Long time user of betadine foaming skin cleanser. A must for anyone who doesn't want to waste money on useless skin products and anti-bacterial chemicals. Betadine works for almost 24 hours killing bacteria that causes staph and virus activity. Its what a surgeon scrubs up with before an operation! I use it on my face when in the shower and on my upper back and chest area. It leaves no smell or orange stain but leaves nice clean bacteria fighting skin without the drying affects that many skin cleansers and products do.

For some reason, I tend to get frequent infections on my skin. Bacteria have a field day with me. Betadine takes care of it, time after time. I haven't run into anything so far that Betadine hasn't been able to help with (including the initial stages of impetigo) or cure (including infected splinters and boils). Gentle on the skin, tough on bacteria.

I kept having issues with acne on the back of my neck and in the hair on my head. Downright painful it was! I noticed one time after having surgery that where the nurses soaped my neck with this surgical scrub, I had no acne breakouts for days after the surgery. I thought that perhaps the surgical scrub that the nurses used was the cause, so I bought some of this stuff on a hunch. I started using it a decade ago and my adult ance has ceased to exist. Of course, it smells like iodine, so don't think it will be this nice, fragrant smelling soap. I get a lather going and let it sit on my skin for under a minute and it does the trick for me.

I use to be able to buy this OTC and then it disappeared behind the pharmacy desk, so I had to start ordering from the pharmacist. Now I buy it on-line.

This stuff kills germs naturally- by way of iodine, a natural element and chemical. It kills germs dead, but unlike stuff like triclosan and similar 'antibacterial soaps" the germs can't develop an immunity to it.

The primary use for this is wound cleansing, but yes, if you have stinky pits or feet you can use this occasionally (rinse well, it might leave a harmless faint brown stain otherwise) to get rid of body odor causing bacteria.

I say "MORE" safe but don't get it in your eyes, keep out of reach of children and pets, etc. Safer for the environment also that some other substances.

I'VE BEEN USING THIS ON MY DOGS PAWS BECAUSE HE IS A COMPULSIVE LICKER AND LICKS UNTIL HIS PAWS ARE RAW. THE BETADINE HAS HELPED TREMENDOUSLY. I PUT ABOUT 2 TABS. IN A SINK FULL OF WATER AND THEN HE GETS TO STAND THERE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, UP TO 3 MINUTES OR MORE. IT DOES NOT STAIN AND IS A GREAT ANTISEPTIC! I LOVE IT!!

I was using a natural deodorant (which I loved-only had 3 ingredients) and it wasn't working any more. So I talked to my older brother who is a nurse and asked him what he uses and he said Betadine. I said the stuff they use in the operating room? He told me many years ago he had issues with his deodorant so he talked to a Pharmacist and he recommended Betadine. He's been using it 25+ years and never had a problem. I went online and many Amazon reviewers said they used for that very purpose. So guess what I tried it and it really works! No underarm odor at all! You may still sweat, it's not an antiperspirant but you won't have any odors. A little goes a long way. It's been about three months and still no odor. This doesn't stain your skin, it comes out orange but washes away. I use it in the shower so I don't know if you spilled it on clothes if it would stain. I won't be without it.

I've been using this for my pet. I mix a tiny bit with water and use this to clean his feet after he's been outside to reduce his allergies and it works really well! It will stain white towels even when mixed with water.
