When I opened BETRAYED, I was pretty sure I knew who was was going to be betrayed. I was surprised that I didn't know near as much as I thought I did. As usual for the Lake Of Sins series, this book was chock full of surprises. Each turn of the page leaves you with your heart in your throat. There is a lot of romance in this book. A bit more than I like. That doesn't stop it from deserving 5 stars. BETRAYED is the perfect name for this book. Even with the romance, this is a fast-paced, exciting book that has you ready to jump into book 5, WHISPERS FROM THE PAST.
When I first started reading this book series, benedictines character and his actions made me cringe. I’ve fallen in love with the series, especially trinity and Hugh together. I don’t feel sorry for Jethro, and hoping for more books
I am in love with the series I just hope it isn't one of the never ending ones. The characters are written so well that you love the good guys and want the bad guys to get what they have coming to them. The books keep you hooked and wanting more.
This was supposed to be my first arc book from this author but had problems with my email and didn't get link until was expired so I bought it. I bought it because I really enjoyed the first books in series, so I figured I would this one too...... I did but not like the earlier ones, as another reviewer commented this one is more romance oriented (much more sappy) which is a draw for many ppl , ut it just seemed to me like instead of being more mature and independent after what she has been through Trinity went the other way, the back and forth love to hate, fawning one minute shunning the next over and over with this one then that one was nearly to much for me at times. Having said that I am still interested in seeing what happens to/with all the different factions enough I will continue to read I just personally didn't like tis one as much.
