Betrayed takes place after Cursed. Will, Tristen twin from the first story is back in the lead. Will and Tristan are witches and Tristan is married to a Lycan named Ben. Ben is now part of a pack thanks to his friend, and ex lover Raul(also Lycan of another pack) whom he saved. Now Raul is mated to the King of Ben's Pack. Raul at one point had been the prince of his own pack and he too is also a twin.
Now Betrayed picks up with a shaman of Raul's former pack coming to him for help. It seems that Raul's twin has vanished mysteriously, and they need Raul to return and help to find him. Raul is leery about going alone because his twin Richard is involved with a witch name Sieanna. Sieanna is the one that drugged Raul and left him unconscious far from home on the lands of another pack without permission. That would have been death for Raul if Ben hadn't saved him. Raul knows this witch is powerful and beyond his ability to handle, so Will offers to go along.
First I have to say, Raul and his mate Alex are still my favorite characters. In both books they were secondary characters but their love and passion for each other is very intense. I still hope this author gives them their own book.
The deep caring all the characters feel for each other really comes through. The passion between Richard and Will is almost instant. Despite having no memory because of a spell placed on him by the witch Sieanna, Richards wolf instantly recognizes Will for what he is. His true mate.
From there we are taking on a ride to help Richard regain his memory and break free of the spell the witch has him under. The reason I have the book 4 stars is because of Sieanna. We are told she wanted to be turned and made leader of the pack, which is why she had gotten rid of Raul and later Richard. We were never actually told why she wanted these things. Other then her making appearances to lead Richard by the arm, we aren't shared any of her thoughts from her POV. Even the final battle was described with Will picking up on her sense of rage and desperation and his casting a spell to stop her. I have to admit I felt cheated. I really wanted to glimpse what she thought and felt instead of being told.
Other then that, the rest of the book is solid. This author has made me love werewolves and I hope she continues to write about them.
Please give Raul and Alex their own story! :)
Betrayed is a wild ride - a sexy and engaging continuation of the world and characters we were introduced to in Cursed. The characters are well developed, and the large community of characters adds a richness to the story. The story is unique and intriguing. The plot twists wonderfully, and the pacing is perfect. It's very engaging from beginning to end.
This is a very erotic book, with many hot sex scenes. I love the way the metaphysical elements of werewolves and magic are woven into the physical and emotional intimacy.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Betrayed took things to another level for me. I'll be looking for more from this author for sure!
I don't recommend this as a stand alone, but I highly recommend this series for anyone looking for a highly erotic paranormal romance story.

When we first meet Will in this second book, the first image we have of him is of a pretty boy: long dark curls, lithe body, and a behaviour that his almost childlike, he gossips with his twin brother on the s exual exploits of his mate, Benjamin. But as soon as the brother is not in the room, we also realize that Will is hoping to find the same happiness Tristan has with Benjamin, and he knows that he will not find it in Benjamin's house.
So when he is asked to go help Raul's brother (Raul and Alex are another mated pair, and Alex is the Alpha of Benjamin's pack), Will heartedly agrees. Richard is vanished, but to Raul and Will don't take too much time to find him suffering of amnesia, but with one only sure thing in mind: Will is his mate and he will not let anyone else near him. Truth be told, Will is more than willing to spend almost two days in bed with Richard, to help him going free of his wife's spell, the witch (witch not b....), and if someone else doubts his reasons... well probably he is not wrong. This is probably where the light feeling of the story emerges, even if in danger, even if under a spell, when Will and Richard are in bed together nothing else is important.
There is a lot of s ex, very tactic feeling; there are absolutely not s ex scenes in shifted form, but the werewolves in the book like to be in their wolf form, and their mates like to stroke them (no pun intended); on the other hand, the werewolves like to let their wolf go out and play, and there is an heavy use of smell sense and bodily fluids to mark the territory. But when it's the time to play on a more s exual level, there is always a man on man action.
