Customers are fathomably infuriated about the case for the box set of Better Call Saul. Apparently none of them are familiar with how UK pressings of DVDs and Blu-ray Discs are packaged more frequently than I care to admit. Orange Is The New Black is a perfect exemplar for it has got exactly the same style case and insides. That was released only in the UK as a DVD box set for some reason. Universal seem to be the distributor infamous for this style of case. Admittedly it does seem Sony bumrushed this show on physical media. It is far removed from the creativity of the Breaking Bad barrel. That was a work of art from outside to inside; this is bare-bones and lacklustre in every manner interpretable. Sony should have used all time necessary to perfect the packaging and housing like they did 2013 for the late 2013 initial pressing of the Breaking Bad Blu-ray Disc box set – of which I have got two [one sealed of course]. Natheless, I have got two of these insipid box sets [one sealed of course] for one day it will be out-of-print. All of the nonsense about awards won or not won, resolution, et cetera in relation, correlation, or association to any price as is or as should be, et cetera is just that: arrant nonsense. For the case I concur the price is illogical; I cannot envisage the profit Sony are making for such meagre effort. The content is superb withal hence the neutral rating.

Like other reviews, I do agree that it this boxset is a little expensive, the artwork is a little generic, and the actual packaging of the discs is terrible. I get the sense that Sony/AMC wanted to have this out before Christmas, so looking at it that way, the bare bones packaging makes sense.

I would understand paying a premium if these were 4K discs, so why there isn't a 4K version available is baffling. Netflix streams the show (and BB/El Camino) in 4K, so a transfer is surely available.

I still would recommend picking this up ASAP, as I've heard a few of the seasons individually are out of print and Netflix may be removing the entire Breaking Bad universe in a couple years. Physical media forever!

First of all, to address the 1 star reviews bc this isn't in 4k: in the age of streaming, be happy we even get a Blu-ray set. 4k is a luxury format that is by no means "mainstream" yet. You should be reviewing this item for what it IS, not what it ISN'T.

Secondly, this is an amazing show in a mediocre package. I'm not a fan of the "stacked discs" package format. Make sure you check your discs when you receive yours. Several were loose but thankfully were undamaged.

Of course I had to splurge and purchase this set. But they suckered us all. The plastic is so flimsy and cheap. The disc are hard to remove. The paper insert falls out. It’s hard to not recommend the purchase because I love the show.

By far one of the worst possible cases they could have given this collection. A far cry from the Breaking Bad barrel, Better Call Saul's full series has 19 discs crammed into one comically large case, with up to four discs stacked on top of each other in some parts. I feel like I'm going to break each disc I try to get out every time. Really not doing this phenomenal series justice, feels like AMC really didn't care with this at all. Only reason it isn't getting one star is because the series is incredible

The show is amazing.
The blu-ray case is amongst the worst I've ever seen.
Upon opening, 19 displaced discs fell to the floor, the plastic mounting having broken somewhere in shipping. It is useless.
Considering the initial price for the set, this is embarrassing but I'm glad to have the content at least. I guess I will need to make my own Saul-themed case.

This has got to be the worst and most cheaply done packaging I’ve ever seen from a major entertainment company. From the cover art to the almost comical layout of the disc case this is bargain bin at a premium price. I hope a better version of this is made in the future because this is embarrassing especially for such a wonderful show. Guess they rushed this one to have it out in time for the holidays.

This is the cheapest case I've ever seen in my life. And, $150 for the show on Blu-Ray, when not only does a 4K master exist, it is streaming currently online on Netflix? This set is a disappointment. Should have been a nice 4K set for the same price. As it stands, I will be watching Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and El Camino on Netflix where they are in 4K
