I made vegan chicken noodle soup (recipe from Hot For Food) with Better Than Bouillon, No Chicken Base for vegans and it was spot on. It tasted like chicken and I was completely pleased with it. My bottle was well protected with bubble wrap and packaged in a box. It is salty straight from the jar but I'm sure it's the same with all bouillon but once mix with water the taste is amazing. I would buy this product again.

My wife and I have adopted the vegetarian, not vegan, lifestyle. OK, me not so much I'm just along for the ride. But she's a really great cook. There's chicken stock in a number of things she cooks. Honestly, I can't tell the difference in any of the food.

The package arrived leaking and gross. The top of the jar has a lot of flex to it and appears to have a broken seal. This is just nasty, and as I went to request a replacement or a return there seems to be no route to do so. I’m extremely disappointed with what I received, it’s not even safe to try since there is no more vacuum in the can and obviously it hasn’t been refrigerated.

I just finished a glowing review for the BTB "No Beef" base...no bouillon on the market is as rich, complicated, and tasty. Same goes for this. The taste compared to chicken broth is uncanny. My vegan husband and I (I'm a vegetarian) love this and use it often. I use the "Gravy in a Snap" recipe from the BTB website to make yummy gravy (perfect for Thanksgiving), just add a dash of white wine. It's also great to make broth when someone isn't feeling well. I don't know how they do it, but BTB vegan bases are to-die-for.

Wanted to make some kind of take on ramen the other day to use up some veggies. Made a broth with 2 quarts water and 3 tbsp of this bouillion, which used just about 1/2 of the jar. Added some soy sauce and some teriyaki sauce, white pepper, garlic and onion power, and then a bunch of veggies. Boiled misc mushrooms for a while, then threw in some chopped peppers, some left over broccoli, and some delicious baby bok choy. At the end added some vegan ramen noodles and let cook up. It was DELICIOUS! Girlfriend and I both loved it. Hard to believe its vegan.

This tastes like chicken broth, it really does. I make a very satisfying vegan chicken noodle soup with it using tofu, or make it with quorn chicken which is not a vegan product. I also like to use it for cooking rice or making gravy. The beef flavor is also very good. This brand is much much more authentic tasting than another vegan chicken flavored bouillon that I tried.

Like everyone else states, this can be had much cheaper at your local grocery store.

My fiancee is vegan and was told that this product is delicious and works great, as a non-vegan myself, I have to say, it does a pretty darn good job at tasting like chicken bouillon.

It does a great job at making a "chicken" broth or adding some "chicken" flavor to vegan meals!

Don't if you want to try it without leaving your house or can't find it at the store, it's definitely worth a shot!

Only giving it four stars since it can be had SO MUCH CHEAPER at your local grocery store.

I love this product and it's not easy to find in the stores around me, so I ordered it through Amazon. As you can see the lid was not properly tightened before the seal stickers were put on and it leaked everywhere. THIS IS A NON RETURNABLE ITEM so I can't send it back and am having difficulty asking g for a refund or replacement.

The product itself is great, I can make old fashioned lemon rice soup, chkn noodle soup, and gravy with it and it tastes just like I remember it and my non vegetarian family agrees.

I don't know if it is a manufacturing malfunction that is causing these lids to not be sealed properly, or a shipping issue, but from the other reviews I can see it's not just a one-off problem. Hopefully I can get a refund or replacement.

UPDATE: I did call customer service and they are issuing a refund. Again, great product, just maybe an issue with this production lot.
