It continues a few months from the end of boots optional. Grant, Lane and Grace are still working everything out. They don't need her father and everyone at the ranch knowing their business so they sneak around and see each other whenever the opportunity arises.
Relationships can not only be based on amazing sex, its so much more than that. They know they care so much for one another that it hurts but it is Love? Lane has no problem saying it to both Grant and Gracie but they sure do, he can feel it but longs to hear it....
Grant is so happy to be with the two people that he cares about most, his life is going perfect until his Dad calls out of nowhere. He doesn't have a close relationship with any of his family and he most certainly doesn't want to deal with what happens next. He also doesn't want to get Lane and Grace involved but when they want to show him how much they care about him, he has no choice. Can Grant really open up to the two people he cares about the most?
Gracie also needs to learn to open up to Grant and Lane. She is so stubborn and strong but underneath there is so much more to her. And, I would also bet on Grace every time.
There are many secrets going on within the ranch and not just with these three. I loved reading about the Lambert Sisters and even their father. All of her sisters are so different but are in similar situations. Maybe not exactly like Gracie, hers is unique...how long can she hide that she is with not one cowboy but two and those two are also together? Can her family ever accept it? Can they say the three words Lane longs for? Will the other sisters loosen up with their own issues?
I loved this book so much!! Yes, it is amazingly sexy...It is about as steamy as it can get. But it also gets into the emotional part of the relationship. I can not wait to see what happens next and to read more books by Nicole!
As Lane had passed him toward the door, he had whispered, "I'm not gonna do the walk of shame forever." That made Grant laugh, although he knew Lane was partially serious about it.
Without thinking, Grant pulled her against him, desperate to feel her heartbeat, to lean on her at a time when it felt as though the floor as about to drop it from under him.
"That doesn't happen for me. I go through each f*cking day wishin' like hell hat at least one of you would acknowledge your feelings for me."
***And for a funny one.
Would you look at this place? Holy shi*t! It was like a Pepto Bismol factory had exploded.
In NE fashion this is a winner. Love love live the sexy love scenes. Very few authors can write threesome love seconds like Nicole!! Lots of love scenes but want I have lays enjoyed bout her books is the fact that they always have a great plot behind them. Family is big in her books and that's what I love about her books. I'm a Texan so reading about the 'HOLY S*** HOT COWBOYS' ah HELLO!! Who isn't up to that?!?
I'm excited about this new series. Can't wait to read about Gracie's sisters and her dad's story.
I highly recommend reading this series as well as the Walker boys series. You won't be disappointed.
unfortunately the past never stays there and comes to bite you at the utmost worst times. lucky for Grant, he has Lane and Grace to be his rock when his family's past comes to interrupt his life at the ranch.
just like the Walkers, I can't wait for more from the Lamberts.
One other note. The entire sub plot of the horse racing was completely unnecessary and did not add to the total.
