Finding a lot of good recipes in here. A lot of the lower calorie cookbooks have a lot of recipes involving seafood. Being allergic to seafood, that severely limits what recipes I can cook. But this cookbook had tons of the 'comfort foods' that I love involving beef, turkey, chicken, pasta dishes, etc... And the recipes come out really good. My hubby loves them and my two little girls look forward to trying the new dishes. They're especially partial to the lasagna cupcakes...mmmm, good!

I have made several recipes from the book so far and i have like 90% of them. The recipes are not that difficult to make and unlike other reviews I have read I don't find the food to be bland. My husband and kids also like the meals and the kids don't even realize they are eating low calorie meals. This book has helped me find good food to make while I am trying to lose weight. and I believe has helped me succeed.
I like that the calorie count and nutritional info is with each recipe. Some have alternate options of ingredients to use to make the recipe a little different.
The only drawback I have noticed is that portion sizes are not listed. When making some of the pasta or skillet dishes I would like to know what is a portion size (it will tell you the recipe makes 8 servings but you have to eye ball what an 8th is).

These are very basic simple recipes with limited number of basic ingredients. Nothing fancy! Just what I was looking for to give me ideas to add flavor to my meals without needing to go out to buy special ingredients on my limited food budget. I cook only for myself. This was great for me!

I LOVED this cookbook! Reviewed a ton of them with 300 calories and nothing compares to this. While some recipes do need spiced up a bit, that's easy to do... even for a non cook like me. This is by far my favorite cookbook ever - EASY recipes.

I wouldn't call all these foods "comfort" foods but the recipes are low in calories. I love the book because it gives me new ideas that are healthy to add to my menu. Often I add vegetables to the recipes. Sometimes, it suggests vegetables sometimes not.
