If you're like me, you want to know the ingredients before you buy. Here they are:
Sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla), cocoa processed with alkali, rice flour, potato starch, corn starch, xanthan gum, salt. Contains soy ingredients.
It tells you to add: 1/4 cup butter melted and 2 eggs.

Instead, use this as a foundation and build on it. I've had success turning this into something special by mixing in a few spoons of mint or raspberry jelly. Or add a quarter cup of dark instant coffee for a special kick. With either of those, consider adding in a pinch of cayenne pepper. I'm not kidding: cayenne really brings out chocolate's hidden qualities.
If you simply make these brownies according to the package direction, they'll be okay. Nothing much stands out about them, but theyre better than bad. But if you grab this opportunity to get adventurous and play with your food, you can really turn this adequate mix into a fun dessert that will keep your family coming back for more.
On the up side, they tasted great!
I need to do some experimenting with thinner brownies, maybe to cut out more pieces... smaller... but to make it last longer? Really, one box makes only one serving, but you have to trick yourself into splitting it up into "servings" hahah... servings. It's your time to eat some brownies, dig in, and don't let them have any!

These are moist chewy brownies that my whole family loves. Hard to keep any in the pan. They are easy to bake and very chocolaty. A real winner.Published 9 months ago by 1athomeinthewest
