Amber Lea Easton is a multi-published fiction and nonfiction author. Smart is sexy, according to Easton, which is why she writes about strong female characters who have their flaws and challenges but ultimately persevere. She currently has multiple contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels out in the world: Kiss Me Slowly, Riptide, Reckless Endangerment, Anonymity, In Between, Dancing Barefoot, WhiteOut, Proximity, and Duplicity. Her memoir, Free Fall, is dedicated to suicide prevention, awareness, and helping others navigate the dark journey of grief. In addition, Easton works as an editor, freelance journalist, and professional speaker. She speaks on subjects ranging from writing to widowhood. Some of her videos on romance writing have appeared on the international Writers & Authors television network. Easton currently lives with her two teenagers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she gives thanks daily for the gorgeous view outside her window. She finds inspiration from traveling, the people she meets, nature and life’s twists and turns. At the end of the day, as long as she's writing, she considers herself simply to be "a lucky lady liv'n the dream.

The story is fleshed out with intriguing characters. The backdrop of Italy couldn't be more romantic. The sexual chemistry between Jessica and Jacques leaps off the pages. I defy you to start this book and not finish it. Or not to run like a crazy person when you finish it to get the sequel to In Between, Dancing Barefoot. Because that's pretty much what I did.
Outstanding story, you will not be disappointed.
Jessica was always doing what everyone else said she had to do. Never taking time for herself. After she graduated college she took some time off from Everything to have some alone time and do what she truly loved.
While in Italy she planned on indulging in her art. But then she stumbles onto Jacques Sinclair. Who caught her off balance and she never could have imagined what the next few months would be like.
While in Italy she just wants to forget whats waiting for her at home. be free and live her life. pretend she's someone with not a care in the world. And i love Jessica's attitude and her willingness to open up to Jacques.
This is a wonderful fast paced romance. Jessica's and Jacques relationship quickly blooms into more and they just let it be.... Of course, running away from your problems isn't always the solution to your problem, as Jessica soon realizes. When her "home life" comes crashing in on her dream vacation. Jessica has choices to make and she can only hope she makes the right one.
I absolutely loved this book. Finished it in one sitting. Even though it is a fast paced romance, it kept my attention. Sometimes I get annoyed with the insta-attractions but not this time. Everything flowed perfectly, and just clicked together so well. I didn't once question the feelings they had for one another. This author has a way describing the greatest details so you can feel that attraction.
5 star rating and I do recommend reading this.
This is a must read before the next book Dancing Barefoot. If I say too much more I'll give it away, but Easton has a way of telling a story that pulls you into the action and takes you on a fast paced, heart pounding journey you'll never forget!
This story tells the tale of Jessica Moriarty. a college graduate who has decided to take a gap-trip to Europe in order to visit Italy before she starts a new job with a firm of Boston architects. As in life, things never go to plan. While in Italy she meets the gorgeous Jacques Sinclair, a very sexy photographer.
This is a coming of age story. Without spoiling the plot – Jessica must choose between the love of her life, or her career and family back in the States. She has always been a ‘good girl’ and given into the pressures of living ‘responsibly’. Now she wants to let her hair down and escape all the rules and regulations – she wants to feel! The story is full of emotion, hot romance and angst as she strives to reach her decision. Does she stay or does she return to the States.
This is a book you will not be able to put down. Enjoy!
Of course, love comes knocking when she least expects, when she's not looking for it. So when time-sensitive and life-changing opportunities arise, Jessica faces some serious decisions...
