Honestly, I don't know if I'll be reading Jake and Kat's story, I would if I knew we'd read more about where Jon and Sarah stand with their baby coming or hopefully it arrived already. Since he couldn't wait to be a father I would really love to read about it; a lot of their last book surrounded his desire to start a family right away so since it happened, I was hoping to read and feel more about it. Susan Schussler has the ability to make you feel the characters words and not every author is capable of that. Meg and Liam, they were a big part of the first two books so I knew Between Friends somewhere in there had to be more of Jon and Sarah, just not enough for me...sorry. Kat and Jake, well she's mentioned a little bit in their book as Liam's costar and Jake I remember from Alli, I believe, the kiss pose to throw off the paps. It's just not enough to have me invested, I need something more familiar, a better connection. For me it's Jon and Sarah, the hero and heroine from the first two who won me over, easily. I really hope we get a short novella about them with their new family.
Cliffhanger, no. Sex, yes. Threesomes, no. Cheating, no, but almost due to miscommunication. HEA, no HFN promising a future HEA just not in a epilogue. There is no epilogue. This is the pairing of Meg and Liam during Jon and Sarah's story "Between the Raindrops". Typos, few. I was not asked to read this book or to give this review. This is my honest opinion.
A fast paced read dealing with the lingering emotions of an ex and a forbidden love with a new flame. Also dives into deeper issues such as drug use that challenges relationships and lives, and allows for the love interests to connect on a deeper level having gone through similar experiences with people they love. The characters are easy to relate to and its a story that you won’t want to end! Susan does a great job with misunderstanding between the characters that create intricately woven relationships and plots, and Liam is a character that will have a soft spot in every girl’s heart!
