About the Author
Chris Allison is a cartoonist living in Los Angeles, California but doesn't let that adversity prevent him from trying to lead a normal, productive life. He works in the animation industry by day, draws his own underwhelming ideas at night, and writes his own biographies about himself in third person. He is still desperately seeking a fitting nickname.

I first discover Toonhole on Newgrounds.com and instantly fell in love, their comic strips are amazingly funny! the style is definitely professional grade cartooning. The humor is just what I was looking for VERY funny, dark, political incorrect, and sometimes even gross humor that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. There are not many things in this world that make me genuinely laugh out loud, but this book is one of the few things that does, every time I pick up this book it brings a huge stupid looking smirk to my face that really brightens up my day. I love that this is in book from now so I show it to everyone I know in hope that they like it, and have as many laughs as I've had with it (most cases they do)
I hope this review was helpful and that if you are on the fence about getting this book I would definitely definitely recommend it! Chris is a way funny cool guy!!!
I purchased about 15 other books that weekend from other webcomic artist, and I enjoyed all of them, but Between a Rock and a Socially Awkward Place was the only one that made me laugh out loud like an idiot, earning a few strange stares from cosplayers as they walked on by. But that's part of the fun Chris Allison brings to the page. He'll make you forget of the world around you with his artwork reminiscent to cartoons of yesteryear, but with an attitude that'll satisfy your craving for something with edge. It draws you in, and for a few brief moments nothing else will matter because you are sucked into his world, where you can't help but laugh, laugh, laugh!
I keep this out on my coffee table and all my guests love it too. The book is heavy and loaded with comics.
So stop thinking and just buy it!
Excellent gift for the comedy-minded folk in your circle.
