Completely unputdownable with secrets revealed only partially in the end.
Sometimes it's really worth it taking a chance on a new author!! This is one of those times ❤️ despite the cover ((which really don't do the book justice at all)) leaving you to almost pass it by, DO pick up and read!!

It’s the story of Ruby Brooks, who moves with her aunt to New Mexico after her mother’s death. She is nearly 18 and, being the new girl in town (who also happens to be beautiful and witty), soon becomes the center of attention. Her new girlfriends at school are friendly and helpful Racine, wannabe actress Ashley and bitter Marta. Ruby has many suitors, but who will she choose? The handsome and caring deputy of La Luna? The breathtakingly gorgeous and mysterious (but cocky) stranger that she meets only in the forest? Or the local boy with a scarred face and a bad attitude that everyone despises? Meanwhile Ruby is fascinated by the ancient ruin behind her house and worried about the visions of her mom’s spirit desperately trying to warn her about something.
Full of mystery, legends, paranormal and romance, this novel has everything to make you escape from reality.
It partially reminded me Twilight, Beauty and the Beast and Mean Girls.
Looking forward for the second book and highly recommend it to young people and people young at heart.
📚The author worked well and efficiently on the characters. Ruby was in control of me and how she's struggling to move with Libby to her new life. I really liked the friendship between Ruby and Ezra. The two share a very beautiful relationship full of romance and sorrow.
📚You would love the triangle of love, and Ezra took my heart completely with the scarred face. This is like a beauty and the beast storey set in small town New Mexico, with some really nice twists and more!
📚It was a pleasure to read this novel. In this imaginative narrative, I liked folklore and mythology. This storey is full of heart throbs, each one with an intriguing, distinct personality. Jennifer done an incredible job. with Between Wild and Ruin.
