Beware of Darkness (Valens Heritage Book 7) Kindle Edition
Uncle Steve's campaign is still a thing, and he might have to put in another appearance with Black and White before it's over, but right now he's become intrigued by a rumor that seems to be circulating around the djevels. Something about a new djevel prince. One that not only has learned to survive here in this new world, but one who's learned to thrive in it.
A certain incubus lord who apparently happens to be him.
For Mihalis, and the lions, this could be something of a game changer. Dealing with the djevels has been proving to be more difficult than first imagined - they're a lot craftier and more cunning than originally thought. So if Mihalis were to encourage this idea, it could be helpful. However there's a possible downside to this whole affair as well. To be a djevel prince Mihalis would have to take their oaths, and taking their oaths ties him directly into their power pool.
And no one knows just what the affects of Mihalis touching that would be...
WARNING: Under the advise of council I'm not supposed to talk about -REDACTED- or -REDACTED- and how the initial trials of -REDACTED- with his new -REDACTED- performed. However I can tell you that 'Beware of Darkness' does contain more of the -REDACTED- that you've come to -REDACTED-. So, remember that! And don't say you weren't warned! (Note: No -REDACTED- were -REDACTED-, -REDACTED- chandelier -REDACTED-)

About the author

There really isn't a lot to say at the moment, but I'll try to mention a few things. First, the warnings about what kind of a book it is? Please read those. Because it's kind of sad to see people complaining about a book containing Harem and Violence and adult situations when it says right in the blurb that those things are in the story.
Yes I work for a living, yes I have worked in some very odd industries (entertainment included), yes I will try to write more stories. No I'm not the next great American literature writer, sorry, I just want to have fun (is there anything wrong with that?) and entertain people. I'll see about a blog or a webpage one of these days, if people are interested.
Thank you for buying my books, the number of people who have bought them is quite surprising.

SPOILERS AHEAD!
OK, Sean did some epically stupid things, but they were almost always spur of the moment.
Mihalis on the other hand gets advice from his wives, his mom's, his dad, The First and his wives, and others he trusts then does the most epically stupid thing he can and plans to expound upon it.
After discovering that he is in fact a Djevel Prince by taking the oath of what is probably the weakest possible Djevel alive that could swear to him, a lordless, broken, Biskop with no purpose left to live for, he then takes Hengity's oath. This affects him initially a bit.
Deciding he is fine after only a few days, he takes Lord Ennakoida's oath. So no checks for long term effects by any of the succubi, Jolene, any of the mind mages. No intermediate steps of finding a more powerful Biskop or other Djevel to check the effects. He, with all the maturity of an 18 year old, dives in head first. And then sends off entreaties to the other independent Djevel Lords.
So The First, the oldest sentient being alive, and his wives, whom are much wiser than he is; Sean, who has experience doing epically stupid things; Cali, his somewhat overprotective mother; and everyone else put in some minimal protections and let him run rampant.
Now there seems to be some serious problems, and if these just "magically" go away in the next book, I believe that I will give up on the series.
Up until this point I think the overall series is much better than Sean's, but it could easily jump the shark.
Anyone familiar with my reviews knows I read a lot and value good storytelling above anything else. Character development is a close second, and when I find an author who generally does both very well I hang on to him: Stryvant is absolutely such an
Edit* I went read the description of the book that I didn't read at the beginning lol, I guess it was a twist for me and maybe not others but it was still awesome lol

Can't wait until the next one is out. Simply a great story! Bloody marvelous
My only real complaint: its much too short. Also, one or two more smut scenes would be nice, Jan Stryvant is really good at those and with the plot there was deffo room for more. :)
Now...
Aa the title says, this is yet another great book in the Valens Universe. We're back to Mihalis' story and boy is it a trip! One of the best parts about the series is the world building, the magic and different creatures in it are well thought out, consistent and absolutely riveting. In this book we learn more about the djevels, their power structure, their nature and most importantly to the story, the consequences of being what they are.
I honestly can't wait for book 9, yeah I'm skipping 8 because if the author follows the patter it'll be about someone else, and what the fallout of Mihalis' decisions from this installment will be. I'm sure no. 8 will be as interesting, as so far only book 2 I found lacking (still good, just... meh) so I'm hoping it won't be about SJ, maybe more Troy or even the terror twins (that'd be fun, and possibly more full of goblins).
BUT, it could have done with another proof read to catch the remaining typos.
