"A great companion for every Bewitched fan...with insights even we didn't realize."
"You'll feel like you're watching Bewitched with a friend...James' praise for the show [is] matched by his critiques of episodes that failed to measure up. Worth every penny, come for the bounty of information the book has to offer, stay for its fun and well-placed snark."
- Huffington Post
"Do yourself a favor and pick up this must-read as soon as possible. If you're a true Bewitched fan you'll love it as much as I did."
- Chris York, son of Dick York (Darrin)
"In an era when printed books are supposed to be on life support, James’ incredibly fun book is a true throwback."
"It's not every vintage TV show for which I'd read an oversized, 600-page episode guide...but I happily did so in the case of Adam-Michael James' The Bewitched Continuum. The focus is purely on the episodes themselves - what's good, what's not so good, and how each one contributes to the show's legacy...[with] several fun appendices [that] crunch the numbers on various Bewitched tropes. Whether you're watching Bewitched for the first time or the umpteenth, this book is a lot of fun."
- David C. Tucker, author of Joan Davis: America's Queen of Film, Radio, and Television Comedy
"Definitely a godsend for any hardcore fan...it's also a fascinating reference for any readers interested in exploring the evolution of television from a writing context."
- OUT Magazine
"Since the advent of the Internet, episode guides have moved online - and almost all of them are crap. That's why I was delighted when Adam-Michael James' new The Bewitched Continuum landed with a Yellow Pages-like crash on my doorstep. An episode guide does its job when it makes you want to take the journey through the series again; you'll definitely want to check out this exhaustively researched chronicle."
- TV historian David Hofstede, Comfort TV
"In discussing each episode, James' purpose is to show us how the show's characters and situations develop and evolve over time - this is the heart of the book...and it's what makes The Bewitched Continuum different from so many other books. We aren't inundated with backstage gossip or bogged down with various minutia. The show's characters are treated as real people...it's a charming concept upon which to build a book, and I'm surprised more authors don't do it."
- It's About TV
"Don't let [its] 600 pages scare you off, because The Bewitched Continuum's unique presentation of analyzing the series, linearly, episode by episode, engages. [It] reads breezily and will leave you twitching your nose in delight!"
- Journeys in Classic Television
"We can't get enough of it...long may The Bewitched Continuum continue into pop culture lore."
- Brilliant Magazine
About the Author
An expert at continuity, Adam-Michael James has a long history in the entertainment industry. He spent two years writing script coverage for film production companies such as Centropolis Entertainment, Carsey-Werner-Mandabach, and Beacon Pictures. He also has three years’ experience writing continuity scripts for radio. His exposure to the television industry through his work as an agency assistant and background actor give him a unique and qualified standpoint from which to write "The Bewitched Continuum." James’ literary output includes the book and lyrics for the musical drama "The Nine Lives of L.M. Montgomery," "Extra Extra!: Memoirs from a Piece of Human Furniture," a humorous how-to book on being a Hollywood extra, and the novel "Undo the Deed," a time travel story with a child abuse theme that was influenced by Bewitched. Since 2009, James has been a columnist for soapcentral.com, where his commentaries on the continuity and structure of the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" reach an estimated 250,000 readers. He also appears frequently on soapcentral.com’s corresponding Internet radio show, Soap Central Live. For more information about Adam-Michael James, please visit adammichaeljames.com.

If you know nothing about Bewitched, this book will tell you EVERY SINGLE THING about Bewitched.
If you know a little about Bewitched, this book will tell you EVERY OTHER THING about Bewitched.
It's the size of a phone book. It covers each episode in thorough, pain-staking detail, with characters, stories, connections to other episodes, and minutiae the likes of which I have not witnessed.
I have not skipped ahead to see what the book says about the multiple Mrs. Kravitzes and, of course, the replacement Darren.
My one disappointment is the book doesn't mention the quickly canceled Bewitched sequel, Tabitha. But then, that had Tabitha as a grown-up who dated her boss, only five years after she was 11 years old when Bewitched ended. So I'm prepared to let it slide.
That kind of thing hits my geeky sweet spot. As I read through, I remember episode after episode from my afternoon viewings with Pop-Tarts, right after Brady Bunch and before Gilligan's Island. This is good, good stuff.
Of course, there will never be a coherent explanation of such things, because it was fiction.
It is not a "behind the scenes" look at the making of the series. Unfortunately, it seems that book will never be written now, as the players have all gone to their reward.
Fine bathroom read.
