Enough of theory and buzzword lists, this book presents real cases from real companies
Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2013Verified Purchase
After reading many process books which focus on theory behind Lean methodologies and use of Kanban in software development projects, it's very refreshing to see a solid collection of real-world cases from actual companies where some of these these ideas were put into use and what benefits and problems these ideas introduced. The last chapter, which describes the process of designing and writing this book was very interesting as well, as it brings book's authors closer to the reader and proves that even process experts can't pull of a perfect project when the worst distraction of them all - life - gets in their way.

Good content, marred by formatting issues.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 21, 2013Verified Purchase
I returned my Kindle edition of this book for a refund, but will be buying the paperback version when it becomes available. The content (as far as I read) was good, but the book regularly includes sidebars to call out lessons described in the main text. This is a good idea, but the sidebar text is presented as small images (they do not zoom), the content is sometimes cut short, and I found it very difficult to read. Additionally, they main text often flows strangely around the sidebar images (often enough to be distracting, anyway).
I'm looking forward to the paperback release so that I can finish reading this book.
