Lucas Mitchell embarks on a journey looking for answers that are somehow connected to the mysteries of his past, but sometimes people don’t really know what they are looking for, and once they do find it, it’s nowhere near as they expected the truth to be.
When the paranormal hits the story is the real highlight of the story for me, although everything else is quite flawless, when everything gets dark and scary and you find yourself sweating for the tension of the story, you know this is a really good book, and is remarkable how words and details can express so much into our imagination. This genre is not done at all, at least in regards of books anyway; don’t miss this opportunity to truly immerse yourself in this journey.
In the story, Lucas Mitchell (the head of this team of paranormal investigators) is trying to wrap his mind around the events of his past and the things he is experiencing in the present. The author does not give the reader any easy answers, so I found myself reading the lengthy book rather quickly so I could find out what was really happening. And, I was surprised!
Fans of hauntings and books that make the hairs on your arms stand up will enjoy this novel. It has excellent pacing and solid characters and enough spooky elements to satisfy your thrill-seeking nature. Without a doubt, I will suggest this book to like-minded friends and read Matt Byron’s next novel.
