Andrew gives us a “how-to” book written like a novel… it’s fun to read, easy to understand, and is loaded with information to help you sell more books.
Andrew brings clarity to modern marketing concepts. He empowers his reader to be bold, courageous, and different enough to stand out. He inspires confidence that the reader can succeed in the competitive world of selling books following the concepts laid out in the book.
Andrew says; “so often we get caught up in the ‘what’ that our ‘why’ becomes muffled and unclear”. I couldn’t agree more. Getting clear on the “why” inspires the action required to make it happen!
I believe this is so important, I’m writing a book about it: http://www.happyliving.com/2015/07/29/inspiration-into-action/
Beyond the Page teaches us that being a gift to our customers is the ultimate strategy for selling more books.
Andrew, thank you for your book,
It’ll help me be a gift to my readers and sell more books of my own!!

He includes examples of how authors have successfully gone about content marketing including describing JK Rowling's Pottermore website and why it works so well. Additionally, the book includes practical questions that new authors can ask themselves to hone in on a mission statement, pinpoint the audience's specific problems, and offer content that provides solutions.
This book is a gem for authors. I look forward to implementing Purdum's ideas.
There were great examples of what people have done to draw customers in and how to keep them coming back for more.
