He discovers proof that Delilah Paige, who is town doing research on the local monkeys, was in the woods at a scene where she shouldn't have been. Now he just wants to protect her but to do so, he must gain her trust. Delilah barely escaped her fundamentalist militia family years ago but she's back now to rescue her sister. Delilah is used to doing things on her own but she may need some help this time. Can she learn to trust Josh?

This is the second book in the series and it's a fabulous read. The book's well-written with wonderful characters and it'll draw you into the story. This suspenseful read will keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm looking forward to more from this series. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the most benefit and enjoyment.

Delilah is back in her hometown to study the monkeys and also to rescue her younger sister from an illegal marriage. The story is action filled as Delilah is in constant danger from someone trying to kill her. Josh and his team spend their time trying to solve the mystery and keep Delilah safe. Josh goes into protective mode as they move in together for safety. Love is the result as these two wary people open their hearts to each other. A wonderful book you will enjoy reading more than once as you get to know these wonderful characters.

Mann seems to always include strong females who are able to take care of themselves but still allow their man to protect them. I feel certain there will be more stories as each brother gets his own story. I look forward to reading them.

The handsome Florida Wild Life Officer and the "keep-a-low-profile" monkey researcher form a reluctant partnership to solve the mystery of who is trying to kill her and why. Although each have their own set of priorities, including a determination to not get involved romantically, Mann throws them together again and again. A hard one to put down.
