"I recommend this book wholeheartedly. The author takes us on an examination of childhood, addiction, love, and forgiveness, and shares tools gained along the way, including the light of acceptance. The story is entertaining, wise and illuminating. A good read for anyone looking to be free of past pain and resentment." Kim G.

Although the wandering down memory lane is full of fun, easy to read anecdotes and humorous moments, as well as times of trial and tribulation, it is in the second half of this book, in my humble opinion, where the true treasure lies.
Whether the reader has ever had substance abuse problems or not, most of the problems and situations through which the author takes us are universal, as are, perhaps, also the solutions. In the last chapters, we are compelled to a deep reflection of our own lives, experiences, actions, and re-actions through the pensive and often philosophical self-examination which the author himself experienced, and in these pages so earnestly and prodigiously conveys.
I found this work to be exceptional and inspirational. At times it made me laugh and at times it made me cry. It made me think about the world around me, while at the same time rousing a personal look inward. It spurred my own walk down memory lane while offering a message of hope and faith for the present and future.
In simpler words, it takes a reader everywhere a good story should. I highly recommend it.
