A bit pricey of course, but so well made.
This one great too. One should work smarter not harder in the kitchen when straining food. I cook everything that requires liquid to be drained from it - veggies, hamburger etc. I'm not crazy about the additional 'rippled edge' for straining (small pcs fall out). The lid is hard to lock on. As in the picture its aligned with the handles - NOT. You've got to twist it on a weee bit harder to secure it so i can see the lid handle loosening.
The pot is light weight. Some stainless steel pots are heavier. So it's only as heavy as the amount on food or liquid is in it. Only use plastic utensils and it will last a long time.
Anyone who has boiled potatoes will know there is overflow and have to turn down the burner....the lid having holes in to top - you no longer have to worry about that anymore.
It probably would've worked well, but after handling it, I didn't feel like it was worth $40.
