I did learn some new information from this book that was useful but the author peppered it with salvation type preaching which isn't bad, but it turns the book into a giant salvation tract which is annoying since it is not stated on this web page that it's not a straight book of archeology. If at the end it had a message of salvation then I wouldn't mind, but it's really distracting to have it interspersed in the book. I felt like saying, "Yes, I know, I'm already saved, stop."

Also for such a small book, and containing info that I probably could have gathered online myself, I don't believe it's worth $12. I think this is more of a $4.95 book. From what I heard about Xulon Press which the author used, I'm not surprised that he set the price as high as he did, since the last time I checked, they claim copyright ownership of your book.

It makes a good book to give away to someone who isn't saved but I would also slip in my own since the salvation explanations weren't thorough.

It's a lot less annoying to read then "The Bible as History" since there is no pretentious wording and because it's printed on white pages with larger print.
