y dad had a set of these. After about 50 years, the faces of the cards were worn down but the cards were still in terrific shape. I bought this set for that quality. I bought these for my newly-wed granddaughter and hubby, who are game playing fanatics. They love them. One word of warning: The new deck is VERY slippery. Open them over the table and shuffle several times to get some of the "new" off.

They can't be bend or torn, but they feel like normal playing cards. I got them because when my husband and I play cards with the neighbors, my baby wants to participate (he wants to chew on the cards). Now he can.

I play a lot of poker with friends and was going through way too many decks due to normal wear and tear and spillage so I decided I needed to stop buying the cheaper decks that are only a few bucks. First I tried the see through plastic cards Bicycle makes, but those tore and marked up easily too. So I decided to invest in these cards. Well they are invincible! They feel like paper, but do not rip, bend, or mark in anyway. Also, they make shuffling a breeze. Invest the little more in these cards and you will save money in the longterm.

I definitely am not a card expert but sure am a card enthusiast. Bought a few cards recently from Amazon and would like to leave my feedback. I bought Fournier EPT plastic cards, Copag plastic cards, KEM Arrow plastic cards and Bicycle Prestige cards. Off all of them i like the Fournier's best. They have a substantial feel, very thick and you can feel the quality. Dont know why KEM's are considered the best but these, to me atleast, are better. The KEM's are very thin in comparison. Also the cards are slippery but not on your hands. They have a very rough texture so holding them is very comfortable but the cards glide over each other effortlessly. These are made in Spain. The KEM's i found are similar in thickness and texture to the Copag's. The Copag's have the best packaging, very neat. They are made in Brazil. The Bicycle Prestige cards are also made in Spain, most likely by Fournier. They are similar to the Fournier EPT in touch and feel but not as thick.
I think since Fournier is a European company and not many people in the US know about them they are not aware of the quality.
To me Fournier's are better then KEM's. To others i can say this much, even if they are not better than KEM's they are atleast equal !!!!

these cards are OK not the best, after a while they get ruined, basically you cant really do any fans or spreads with them. Although they work well with springs. But if your not a magician like me you really don't need to worry about it. These cards are good for use at home like poker nights and there water proof so if you get it dirty it washes right off but other then that its all its good for

I have owned three sets of these cards for three years now (there's a card game I play that involves three decks). I don't own any other decks of cards so I also use these for poker and various other card games. After three years of moderate usage, these cards have definitely stood the test of time. They are still pleasant to shuffle with and there is no bend (!!!!!) in any of my cards. They don't feel like plastic, but they don't quite feel like paper either. It didn't take me long to grow fond of the texture of these cards. I think originally these might have been more slippery than they are now. After three years, there is some slight fading - the color itself hasn't faded, but there are some TINY white spots on the front and back of all of my cards. It's usually only noticeable when I look for them.

My one con is the case. I like it a lot, but the two black pieces of the case don't shut tight. I need the shiny silver paper that comes with the package to make sure my case stays closed. Otherwise, the case can very easily slide open. This is true for all three cases I own. But this is not a big enough con for me to knock a star off.

I am terrible at shuffling cards, it is not always a bad thing because many people who see me shuffle underestimate my ability to play cards, but then some people think I am faking it on purpose. With these cards I am able to shuffle with confidence and not send them flying across the table or leave large groups of cards un-shuffled.

Bought these to withstand long poker games with my friends. They are completely waterproof. They look just like the classic cards. They may feel weird at first, but you'll get used to it. Buy these cards if you want something durable.
