Special offers and product promotions
“After more than a quarter of a million miles―most of it in the Northeast―I can tell you that the area surrounding New Hampshire’s Seacoast has some of the best cycling anywhere. Let Linda Chestney guide you down some of our favorite roads and take the guessing out of where to go. Her historic references and points of interest add to a guaranteed good ride.” (John Gromek, owner Exeter Cycles Bike Shop)
“Bicycling New Hampshire’s Seacoast gives newcomers a taste of what New Hampshire has to offer while residents get a chance to explore the beauty in their own backyards.” (Jonah Fernald, co-owner Portsmouth Rent & Ride)

There are 28 routes in all, varying in length, covering almost all of the Seacoast towns and bordering Maine towns. I bike for exercise, not scenery, and look for routes with smooth roads and with the least amount of traffic and red lights (this is why I had to drive the routes, as this info is mostly not in the book nor would I expect it to be). I found several excellent routes for my personal needs. However, I look forward to trying some of the longer excursions (50-65 miles) and other rides I've never taken.
If you are a visitor or summer resident and are into biking, GET THIS BOOK: clear maps, directions by odometer reading, and brief descriptions of each ride, most of them through picture-postcard scenery of the Seacoast. You'll be glad you bought it.
