At 5 foot 3 with a Rubenesque figure and a jagged scar that mars the surface of her face (not to mention the emotional scars hidden deep within), Hannah Miller doesn't believe in true love, and the last thing she wanted was a serious relationship. Owner of a successful bookstore, this independent woman has everything she needs. She matches wits with an online user--BikrBoy357--over an erotica book, and it turns into a virtual romance. Hannah's perfectly content letting him fulfill her fantasies behind the screen--until he wants to meet face-to-face. She told him she was a tall, leggy blonde, and nothing could be further from the truth. What would he say when he saw here IRL? Going against her own rules to extinguish the flames of desire this man has stoked deep within, she agrees. He'll only be in Seattle for a few weeks, right? Setting the ground rules, they both agree that they'll have their tryst and then go their separate ways. But what happens when Cade decides he needs her for longer? Can Hannah let go of the emotional pain of her past and let him into her heart?
As I read the first few chapters, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book. The author starts the story rather abruptly, and I would have loved to have a little more background into their internet tryst. However, the story quickly picked up, and I fell in absolute love with both Cade and Hannah. She's a broken heroine with flaws that every woman can relate to. Cade isn't your typical everyday hero, but I felt sorry for him as the drama in his life unfolds--I wanted to smack the manipulative women in his past. Cade's genuine love for Hannah brings out the best in him, and in the end, this story's message that you should never judge a book by its cover truly hits home. Throw in some amazing bedroom scenes and great secondary characters, and by the end, I was desperate for more. No worries...the small excerpt of the second Bachelor's story at the end of the book--Christina and Baz's story--caught me at page one, and I can't wait to read their HEA.
A very well done book that I would highly recommend.
I can't wait to read Sebastian and Christina's story, then hopefully we will get Madison and Grayson's story. Seattle Bachelors is a great addition to my favorite series. I also love that each will be standalones.
