The Q-Core SLX ups the ante on quilted comfort in the backcountry. Redesigned offset I-Beams create incredible multi-directional support and stability. The Q-Core SLX is lighter, tougher, easier to inflatedeflate, packs smaller, sleeps warmer... when it comes to superlight, 3-season comfort this pad stands alone.

However, the real amazement is that it is truly featherweight. I'll be lugging a 40 pound pack and this thing is barely moving the scales. I know it states that its a pound, but on my food scale its pushing 14oz.
I purchased the Wide-Long version, which costs $220 new. I was able to buy one for $80 new!
3 Season backpacking
Very light and compact
It's Quiet when you move
Soft materials feel like pillows against your face
Ultra-comfortable at the same weight of an ultralight pad
Super easy inflation and deflation with big valve openings.
"Antimicrobial treatment inside the pad prevents microorganism growth"
++ Buy the Big Agnes Pumphouse Ultra (air bag pump/dry bag) if you want to save your lungs
Packed Size: 4 x 8.5 inches
Dimensions: 78 x 25 x 4.25 inches
Weight: 1 lb. 6 oz. ounces
It's very light and compact. It gives you more thickness, insulation, comfort, and quality for the same size and weight once packed up, compared to another cheaper alternative. I can emphasize it enough how comfortable this pad is. VERY. The two valve system is amazing. One big one for putting air in, which automatically seals so air doesn't escape, even if the valve isn't on. I'm 5'9" and 245 pounds, I'm fat, and even with me on it, the automatic air lock didn't fail. Amazing. The second, the smaller valve, once opened, it allows for air to escape quickly. I've had a little bit of trouble packing it. This is due to me being a perfectionist and wanting it to roll up perfectly and evenly. I still manage to keep it easy though.
Super soft and comfortable! The materials feel so soft. Like fluffy bunnies. It also feels quite durable. I got a great deal on this, but even if it was at the was the intended price ($220), if I knew how great this pad is, I'd pay the money. Works great as a backpacking or car camping pad. This is too much for just car camping though. This pad is meant to go out and explore. Take it backpacking!
It comes with a little field repair kit as well. It packs into a light and spacious bag. Inflating this up will make you very light headed though. Half way through, and I already feel like sleeping. It will take anywhere from 24-40 breaths, depending on how exhausted you already are. If you're inflating this up after a days hike or putting up a tent, you might pass out. This pad is thick and big. "That's what she said." LOL Anyways, I definitely recommend getting the Big Agnes Pumphouse Ultra (air bag pump/dry bag). It's $34.95 (new) on Amazon, REI, and any other reputable shopping place - I checked. You could probably find a used one for a couple dollars less on eBay, but it'll be used. The pump will save your lungs and let you stay awake whilst inflating your pad.
With 4.25 inches of thickness, this has you covered whether you're a side or back or stomach sleeper. Just adjust the amount of air you want with the valve, and you're golden. Even with 25" inches of width, I felt it a little slim... But I have wide shoulders and it's supposed to be slim to your body to save weight since it's meant for backpacking. I also have plenty of space lengthwise to stretch my legs and feet down and my arms up without them falling down. The outer rolls are also thicker than the once in the middle. They help keep my in the middle and prevent me from sliding off the pad in the middle of the night.
I paired this with a Sea to Summit Aeros Ultralight Deluxe Pillow. They work perfectly together. This pad is also insulated... It will keep you warm. It's meant for 3 season backpacking. When you move throughout the night, you won't wake other people near you up - it doesn't make much noise, compared to other pads. It's practically silent.
My thoughts and criteria for products I review: (Amazon’s Rating Criteria in Parentheses)
* 1 Star (I hate it!): Feel it's a waste of money. Will never use it again. Would never recommend. Not safe to use. Either throw away or return it.
** 2 Stars (I don’t like it): Don't like it and wouldn't use it again, but may still have at least 1 positive thing about it.
*** 3 Stars (It’s ok): Product has both positives and negatives, and I may or may not continue using it. Someone else may like it more and is potentially still worth purchasing.
**** 4 Stars (I like it): Item as described in functionality, purpose, and quality. May have 1 or 2 things I don't care for or would change, but not big issues. Would recommend if asked, but wouldn't say I love it.
***** 5 Stars (I love it!): Practically perfect. Nothing lacking in functionality or quality. Love it and would not only recommend, but would purchase for others and continue to purchase for myself.
Edit: Here is what I just received from BA in response to question about Pumphouse compatibility:
"Thanks for checking in. The current Pumphouse pad pump is not compatible, however we will have a new version of the Pumphouse as part of our 2017 product line that will work with both our new Ultra and SLX valve systems as well as the older pads."
