Big Bang Theory, The: The Complete Seventh Season (Blu-ray)
Socially challenged they remain, but the scientific geniuses of The Big Bang Theory always deliver hilarious results. Leonard returns from his North Sea expedition to find that his relationship with Penny involves more beta-testing than he’s ever done in a lab. Howard’s attachment issues with the women in his life in particular and Raj’s social breakthrough with women in general provide more laughs. Bernadette and Amy stand staunchly by the men in their life, even when they’re sitting in marathon role-playing games. Sheldon sees his mom (Laurie Metcalf) in a totally different way, parties with James Earl Jones, establishes a (sort of) bond with his idol Professor Proton (Emmy® winner Bob Newhart) and makes a scientific breakthrough that breaks down before you can say Science Friday. Experience your own humor breakthrough with this 3-disc, 24-episode Season Seven set of TV’s most popular comedy.]]>

The bonus features are interesting yet brief.
The end of this season has laid some interesting groundwork for Season 8, which has already started airing (but I haven't seen any episodes yet).
If you purchased seasons 5 and 6 and lost your enthusiasm for the show just a bit, rest assured that season 7 will restore your faith.
This is still a hard hitting laugh out loud comedy. Most episodes will almost have you rolling on the floor with laughter. The best part is that it is clean good humor for the entire family.
Sadly the latest season being aired has "Jumped the Shark". So this is the last of the great season
The celebrity cameos/guest appearances this season are Bob Newhart reprising his role as Professor Proton (in a hilarious Star Wars themed episode), James Earl Jones, Carrie Fisher, Bill Nye and of course Wil Wheton. Almost all the characters end up in very different places by the end of the season than where they were at the beginning. Howard and Bernadette are the exceptions having settled into a fairly stable married life. Toward the end of the season the comic book store owner Stuart begins to take a larger role in the series.
As far as extras go for those who get the blu rays (or DVDs), there is a lot of behind the scenes material, a comic-con panel with the writers, a making of the Star Wars day episode and a gag reel. All in all probably around an hour's worth of bonus material. Definitely enough to make those who like going through that stuff happy.
