"There is a huge variety in styles and skill levels, making it useful for the newbie to the most experienced crocheter. The designs are beautiful and range from traditional to trendy. Tracey certainly has her finger on the pulse of what is current in crochet." --Jessie at Home
"As well as individual patterns for each of the 365 motifs, there is a very detailed how-to section in the front of the book with illustrated instructions for a number of different crochet stitches." --Wendy Knits
"There are enough variations in this book that you could make a different square each day for a year, and have a big pile of squares at the end. Just think of the patchwork afghans you could create! Or, you could choose one or two or three squares, and just keep repeating them, in the same colors, or in different colors, and you would have another afghan. Or you could make lots of other things--patchwork sweaters, totes, pillows, rugs, scarves, etc., etc., etc." --Not Your Granny's Crochet
"Not only are there 365 granny squares with complete instructions, but also included are twenty-five pages with a wealth of basic crochet knowledge clearly and beautifully illustrated. Whether you enjoy crocheting a square in the evening for relaxation or plan to create a future heirloom, there is something for everyone! The photos for each square are bright and bold; some larger than others. A lot of effort went into naming each square; they are clever and unique." --Crochet Queen
"The author has an amazing eye for color, adding a new and appealing twist to the ever-popular granny square, presenting us with a fabulous collection of squares featuring delightful and vivid color combinations that are perfect for a new era of crocheters." --Crafter's Corner

All pattern abbreviations aren't in the glossary - using this book reminds me about the old Sears Catalog instructions -- "start at the beginning and keep reading until you find what you're looking for."
