What really makes this toy amazing are the sound effects when Hiro is attached to his back. The flying jet noise only comes on when Baymax is horizontal with the floor. At first I didn't realize that the two little magnets on Hiro's hands must go in the two little holes on Baymax's backside for you to hear the sound FX. Baymax's head lights up and looks awesome too when you turn off the lights -- as it acts like a headlight, which is very cool.
This is one of the best toy action figures out there and if you love Big Hero 6, then you need to have this toy! It only took about a day before my Daughter played with it by herself and now she is always playing with it. Really fun toy and so worth the money! Great build quality and you will not be disappointed. Hiro is about 4.5 inches tall and has a lot of articulation as well.
Yes it's big and it's fist flies off, but so what if it's not like in the movie.
The pieces fall off so easily - you only have to touch it and pieces come off. Hero wouldn't stay attached to the back securely (even though it's meant to via magnets), Beymax wouldn't stand up on his own, and, most of all, a lot of the phrases that you expect from the movie (such as ' Hi I am Beymax, you personal healthcare companion) aren't programmed in. What's with that?
Give this a miss until something that actually emulates the movie much better comes out .
I only have 2 minor complaints:
1. The armor pieces on the thighs and shoulders come off really easily. They're easy to put back on the toy but if it just tips over the parts go flying. The main toy itself is super solid.
2. It's tricky to get Hiro attached to the back of Baymax with the little pegs. It would be way better if there were small magnets embedded in Hiro's hands and knees that just stuck to Baymax, even if it increased the cost by a buck.
