Easy to Refill!
All well-loved bean bags compress over time, and the more love your Big Joe receives, the faster the beans will condense. Our bean refills are sold separately so that you can revive your Big Joe whenever it needs a pick-me-up.
This isn’t boring furniture. We think that’s obvious but it’s always a good idea to be clear. Big Joe chairs are created for spaces that need absurdly awesome comfort. The bottom line is we care about your bottom.

Feeling a little closer to the ground these days? That’s just gravity (and our Meghan Beans) obeying the law. Over time, and especially with all the chilling you’ve been doing, our beans will start to flatten. Time to order a refill! These 100 liter bags (that’s 3. 5 cubic feet) will bring your Big Joe back to life in a jiffy. And, they aren’t just for adding a little extra gusto under your back side, They’re also great for packing boxes and Craft projects.

Bean filling is approx half the size of a dime, which is exactly what I expected. It shipped fast and seller was easy to work with. I would highly recommend this seller & product.
Keep out of the reach of children however, it took us almost 2 hours to clean up the mess that my 2 year old made when he got into the filling! LOL
If you're wondering how to fill the chairs without making a huge mess, watch my video. Basically, you'll need a tube. Any size tube will do, but the larger the diameter, the faster the process will be. I sawed the end of a bread crumb canister to make my tube. The beauty of that was it has a lid. When I was done, I simply capped the lid to save the rest for later. Cool, huh? When you fill the bag using the tube, make sure to only unzip it enough to fit the tube into the bag and no more. That'll keep any stray beans from escaping. Oh, you might have a few strays, but it's nothing like what you'd have without some sort of system. Trust me on that. I learned the hard way. Anyway, I hope the video helps.
UPDATE 12/11/16: The beans last about six months before the chair's volume noticeably declined. I'm back to buy two more bags to refill three bean bag chairs.
1 cut a hole in the plastic (about 8" long)
2 put plastic bag inside the bean bag netting (see pic)
3 squeze the beans out, try not to shake it
4 after the plastic bag is empty there will be some beans stuck inside. I turned the plastic inside out and emptied the remaining beans in the big box they came in
5 using a hanger I hanged the netting with beans and added the rest of beans from the box (there was a handfull left and I didn't want to waste anything). If you don't hang the bag it's going to be difficult to add the remaining beans, plus the hanger keeps the bag open for you.
It's easy enough to do it by yourself without having a big mess. I hope it helps.
