Be forewarned: the book is written in Tony-Horton-speak. If you've ever done any of his workouts, you will understand what that means. :) If you haven't and have no idea what I'm talking about - Tony's kind of a self-admitted goofball, and he writes the way he speaks. He has a sense of humor and it shows through - a lot. Like, ALL THE TIME. Some people don't care for it, but I think it makes him and his material colloquial and approachable.
What are you waiting for? No time like the present. No day like today. :)
I used to have the impression that fitness programs were just run by juiced-up meat-heads out to make a buck from the latest fad. That may still be true in some cases, but Tony Horton is the real deal. I love the authenticity and passion he brings to his work. I don't follow P90X to the letter (though I most definitely do Yoga X), but for the first time, I've got a fitness routine that I truly enjoy, and it's because of what's described in this book.
Keep it up Tony!
It is a book that focuses you on getting to take charge of your life (all areas, but of course more so on the health and fitness areas).
His logic and wisdom come thru the book.
I've always enjoyed hearing him speak at events, because the way he explains stuff, how well versed he is on whatever topic he decides to talk about and how he breaks it down to start making changes now.
If you're interested in a new way to kick start your goals, I'd recommend this strongly over Robbins, Covey, etc.
