Bought the wagon as a gift for my son for X-mas. The wagon in the picture is not the wagon you receive! The front steering apperatus is not the same! All the hardware was made by the lowest bidder, the caps on the acorn nuts for the side rails broke into pieces, there were big "Northern Tool" stickers on the sides and front/back, the box it was shipped in was destroyed with some of the parts hanging out when it was dropped off at my house, multiple pings/dents to tub section, the wood slats on the sides don't match up to the rear slats (large gap on one end and touching on the other) and the front turning apperatus might as well be made of tin foil- (not very rigid) So... If you want a junky wagon for moving landscaping materials or somethinng you want to replace in a year because of the cheap rusty hardware or if you don't mind making a trip or two to the local hardware store for some new hardware (nuts/bolts) then feel free to buy this wagon. I will say it was easy to put together- once I purchased better quality hardware, and the tires are nice- Other than that I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS WAGON FOR PURCHASE! Buy a RADIO FLYER!!! You will thank yourself later.

My mother purchased a RadioFlyer at Wal-Mart for $140.00. My two-year-old grandson wanted a wagon and I decided to purchase him one, but didn't want to pay as much for a RadioFlyer. I found this one for less than $60 online and purchased it. It is not quite the quality of the RadioFlyer, but is excellant for what my grandson will put it through. The wheels are made of metal and of good quality. If it had an odometer I am sure it has already gone a thousand miles and has transported kittens and rocks and toys in its adventures with a very curious two-year-old.

This wagon was a huge disappointment. First, the box it came in smelled like moth balls only to find out that it was the scent of the rubber tires that made it impossible to even have in the house. I'm not just saying I was bothered by it. My entire family wanted to know what the awesome smell was. The wood slats were cheap and broken. Needless to say we returned it. The only plus was they made the return easy enough.

PROS: Low price, big tires.

CONS: Cheap, thin, steel wagon pan is not reinforced properly for pulling moderate loads

I was hopeful that this wagon would be durable. But unfortunately, after just one month of use, the metal wagon pan is seriously deforming in the area where the front axle attaches to the pan. The assembly of the wagon was straightforward for mechanically inclined people like myself. However, during the assembly it was obvious that the front axle design places too much load on the weakest part of the wagon pan. The result is that the front axle bends the wagon pan when you are pulling loads over 50 lbs. It's OK for the first week, but the pan metal quickly fatigues as it bends back and forth whenever you're pulling a moderate load. NOTE: The photo on Amazon's product page does NOT show the actual front axle. The photo shows a beefy-looking axle --the one you'll receive is a cheap sheet metal construction that has no reinforcement.

The design flaw is clear to see: the front axle mount needs to be much wider to properly distribute the load to the sides of the wagon pan where there is more structural rigidity. The wagon pan also needs to be made of thicker gauge steel to resist the force of pulling on the wagon handle. This wagon is not suitable for pulling heavy loads (nothing close to the 200 lbs advertised). We've been using it to pull our 50 lb daughter on sidewalks and across grass lawns and after a little more than a month the wagon pan is all distorted and bent in the area where the front axle attaches. The rest of the wagon is OK except for this major design flaw. I now understand why it is a $60 wagon --it's a cheap copy of the higher quality wagons that cost over $100. As they say, you get what you pay for.

I have always considered the wagon to be a childs play thing, however,as a senior citizen I use it to get my grocery bags up a handicap ramp and it does an excellent job. No more having to make 4 or 5 trips to the car to bring them into the house. I also use it to carry garden tools around the yard and picking up pine cones and smaller sticks. Highly recommend it for older generation who may have problems trying to carry tools from place to place in the yard. Having a little problem trying to get it to go backwards at times but this too will be overcome with practice.

The only problem I had was when it arrived without an instruction book and all these little pieces staring me in the face. I did receive the book a few days later (thanks to Amazon) however, it was obviously a Xerox copy and the pictures which should have been in color were so dark that you could not make them out. But I did get it done by following the written instruction.

Great little helper.
