Delicious And Healthy For You As Well!

This type of sweetener has been the best I have ever tried. I have had unpleasant reactions to stevia, any of the sugar alcohols etc., so when I decided to give coconut sugar a try it was like a miracle!

I think the problem with some people is that they expect this to be as sweet as regular sugar and some of its other replacements. It surprised me at first, but after about a week I grew used to it and now use it in my coffee, cereal etc. It takes getting used to. After a bit you will think that cane sugar and all the rest are way too sweet.

About the brand; I've found it to taste no different from another I have used. They both have that brown sugar taste which goes so well with so many foods. I would say to try it for a bit and I'm sure you will learn to love it as I have.

Great coconut sugar. Only brand I have found that is organic and fair trade. Just wish the packaging wasn't plastic.
No, it doesn't taste exactly like brown sugar, because of the quick fermentation time coconut nectar has, it gets a flavor with a tiny bit of "umami" to it. If you prioritize low-glycemic or paleo sweeteners, though, this will be great for you. Taste isn't super noticeable in baked goods as long as you don't use too much of it, but if you sub 1:1 for brown sugar you will for sure notice.

This is hands down my favorite coconut sugar on the market. I’ve tried everything at WHole Foods Sprouts, & Trader Joe’s. I also have an intolerance to certain coconut items, but no reaction at all to this. I use for cookies, brownies, banana bread, anything as an equal 1:1 sugar replacement. I use this for my sweet potato casserole at Thanksgiving. Can’t recommend this brand of Big Tree Farms organic enough. So grateful and appreciate it’s on amazon for a much better deal then in the grocery store!

Being a type II diabetic is challenging when it comes to desserts. Concerned that I was consuming too many products using artificial sweeteners and while researching some other products (allergic to stevia and agave), I came across the SweetTree Blonde evaporated palm sugar which claims a glycemic index of 35. My body has had positive gylcemic reactions to sesame and coconut products and I made the purchase on faith that the glycemic load using this sugar versus artificial sweeteners would be similar. I made a batch of cookies using Splenda and another batch using the SweetTree blonde sugar and then tested my blood glucose. I did this repeatedly over the course of about 7 days and was pleasantly surprised that my blood sugars in both cases were consistently within a few points of each other. So, for my body I found this sugar to be just as good a substitute as splenda. For my money, I would rather put something in me that is closer to nature. We use it now in our morning coffee and the company will be releasing a new liquid version of the product in the fall sometime.

This is a delicious alternative to regular sugar. I've used it twice to bake cookies. The flavor is slightly caramel, and there is the slightest aftertaste but it certainly beats any of the artificial sweeteners. Not calorie free, but slow glycemic absorption, so I don't get that "sugar rush" that makes me feel sick and then crash. I also use it in my coffee and my oatmeal. It has an excellent flavor.

The packaging is nice, it's a good amount of sugar and will last me a while! The flavor is nice, it's a bit stronger than what I expected which is why I gave it 4 stars. I've been adding it to my tea in place of honey. I'm hesitant to use it to make cookies because I'm afraid the taste might be a little overly strong. I think I may mix it with regular light brown sugar first and see how that goes.

Other than taste, the texture and color is similar to light brown sugar! It definitely just has a unique taste. Not bad, just a bit stronger than you'd expect

A ridiculous resealable Bag that does not work on this product

I love the quality & the Flavor of this brand of Coconut Sugar, however the 5 lb resealable Bag needs to be redesigned to actually work & allow for a true reseal that actually works because the way it is now, does not work & easily gets clogged with Coconut Sugar Dust & Granules making it nearly impossible to reseal! I have had no luck with the current resealable design on my 5 lb bag of this Coconut Sugar since the day that I opened & received it.

I finally had call it quits & give up with with this Products resealable Bag that it came in and transferred it over to a 1 Gallon Ziplock Bag that actually reseals to keep this Coconut Sugar fresh & protected as for this Products resealable Bag currently does not work & is terrible & ridiculous to deal with!

I Won't Touch White Sugar Anymore

Coconut flower blossom nectar has a low glycemic index so it doesn't put you in a food coma afterward! There are other brands of coconut sugar but this one is certified fair trade with organic coconut farmers and actually contains minerals and amino acids versus white sugar which has zero. It has an absolutely glorious flavor--tastes like browned butter sugar cookie crumbs! Yes it costs more than white sugar but is worth every penny. So if you're trying really hard to cut back on sugar but realize life's too short to go without the things you love, this is the perfect low-guilt option. There's no reason not to make the switch!
