About the Brand
Beginning the moment our founder, Ruth Campbell Bigelow created "Constant Comment"® Tea in her kitchen in 1945, our family has focused on just one thing trying to make the finest teas possible. Over the years we have introduced many new flavors as well as concepts in tea. Today we offer a selection of deliciously different blends of teas and green teas, a wide variety of herbal teas and teas flavored with real fruit juice. Today Bigelow Tea is the number one specialty tea company in the United States. And to think it all began with the first legendary black tea flavored with golden orange rind and sweet spice "Constant Comment"®Tea.
Bigelow takes immense pride in providing the tea drinking community with the best tea at a great value. We only use hand- picked teas, real spices, flavors and herbs. The flavors and blends we have created are second to none. Some of our teas contain up to twenty different ingredients! And because tea is a leaf that can dry out we take steps to protect it. To keep the teas fresh, we seal our tea bags in protective packets. We simply have to protect those delightful flavors. Thats why a cup of Bigelow Tea is aromatic and delicious; a true indulgence for the senses.

I ordered this tea for the 97 room hotel I work at, to put in the rooms. 240 bags of tea at an awesome price! However, when I opened the tea up, we found that while yes, there is 240 bags, they are packaged 4 bags to a pouch. Maybe I overlooked this in the description somewhere. I checked again but did not see that anywhere.
But now I know and hopefully this will help someone else. if you are looking for individually wrapped tea bags, do not get the 40 count box packs! Get the 20 count ones! (works out to be the same price)
(I had the unfortunate experience of having to purchase Taylors of Harrogate [bagged] Earl Grey Tea. I always prefer loose leaf tea over bagged tea because then I can control how strong a tea brew will be and that loose teas tend to be much fresher. Due to the way Taylors bagged tea is processed it lacked that normal freshness and exquisite taste. So totally by providence I came across Bigelow's Bagged Earl Grey Tea and by surprise I found that their Earl Grey is just as exquisite and fine as Taylors loose leaf tea. Bigelow tea bags are individually sealed and very fresh. So there are TWO Best of the Best. Enjoy!)
I tried Twinings, Stash (Double Bergamot Earl Grey), and this one - Bigelow.
I found that Twinings quality varies from bag from bag, not just from box to box. The good ones are very good, and the bad ones do not even smell the Bergamot. The Stash Double Bergamot smells very good, but when drinking it, it's like drinking orange peel tea.
The Bigelow Earl Grey has yet to show te variations among tea bags. If you like Earl Grey, this one is highly recommended.
