Best of a bad lot. A better mount could be designed

I've used a number of cycling mirrors attached to my glasses over the years, and I keep coming back to this one, even though it is less than ideal. The mount to the glasses could be improved. This mirror attaches well enough to standard glasses, but the mount can be insecure on cycling glasses with curved temple pieces. Still, until someone designs a better glasses-mounted bicycle mirror, this is the one I recommend. There is another good mirror that competes with this one that uses a plastic mount, the Third Eye. Plastic mounts fatigue and break. A metal mount lasts for years. Please note that the mirror comes in two different sizes.

For those who have never ridden with a mirror attached to their glasses, I should add that not everyone can adapt to one. If you can adapt, it's the best option, because you can aim it in different directions by slightly turning your head. That gives it an advantage over handlebar-mounted mirrors.

As to helmet mirrors, I find that they are subject to vibration and are easily knocked off when the helmet is take off and set down.

Best mirror product I have ever seen for a bike, and the FIRST one giving me confidence to cross lanes of traffic without turning my head to confirm. Mounted on the left side of my sunglasses only inches from my left eye, I get a VERY large, steady field of view. Don't worry about focus, as your eyes stay set to "distance" because you are looking at the cars/bikes/pedestrians way behind you, not the actual mirror!
My recent bar-mount mirror was fine, but gave me less area of view and was not steady--plus easy to damage.
I bought 2 and mounting on normal frames was easy. I have sunglasses with a more rounded frame surface that made mounting more difficult, but most frames have a flat surface at the sides, so I would not expect problems most of the time.

I bicycle commute 15 miles each way to/from work and ride several thousand miles a year. Picked this up because everyone seemed to rave about them. I mount mine on my helmet. Added a zip-tie because I can knock them off fairly easily, but that is more the fault of my helmet. I don't find they give me a fantastic view of what is going on behind me. I generally have to turn my head just right and focus on the mirror in order to get a decent view of what is behind me. That takes my attention off what is in front of me. Guess I was hoping for better.

That being said, it is nice to be able to get an idea of what is behind me while riding without turning fully around. These hold their position fairly well and are still easy to adjust. They are much better than the previous helmet mirror I used.

Been using the mirror now for quite some time, it has significantly improved my feeling of security. It takes some getting use to, to train yourself to slightly turn you head, glance into the mirror and focus. After awhile it becomes almost second nature.

I've clipped my mirror(s) onto a pair of ordinary tinted safety/shooting glasses.

Don't waste you're money on the handle bar mounted mirrors, these are awesome. It's so much easier to see behind you by just turning your head than trying to turn the handle bars.
I would recommend that you have a pair of glasses just used for riding with these attached. I had been removing and storing them inside my helmet between rides, but they are thin and fell through the vents in my helmet and were lost.

It attaches to my glasses pretty easily. It's almost too heavy for them, though, and would tend to make them slide down my nose except for the fact that I'm wearing them with a helmet, and the helmet straps help hold them up.

The mirror adjusts very easily. That also makes it easy to take them off the glasses, adjust the mirror so its flat, and put them in my jacket pocket or bag.

It took a little bit to train myself to use it properly. I'm a little nervous that I'm sometimes so focussed on what's behind me that I'm not paying enough attention in front, but I've been using it for months without any close calls. I find it particularly helpful for knowing if there's a =second= car about to pass me. As a cyclist, I can usually hear the first car, and make sure I'm over toward the side. The risk is that I don't realize there's a second car behind it, and I pull back out in to the road. With this mirror, I can know when that's going to happen. Having the mirror also cuts way down on "false alarms," when I hear a car but it's, e.g., on a cross-street. That allows me to ride in the center of the lane on roads with light traffic with much more confidence.

As others have mentioned, the device is sturdy and seems to be holding up well even though I'm constantly taking it on and off of my glasses.

An alignment tip: adjust the mirror so that you can just see the edge of your head and the top of your shoulder.

One other note: when riding up hills, sometimes I put my head down. When I do that wearing the mirror, I can get blinded by a streetlight at night or the sun during the day.

Small But Effective

The mirror is small (1 1/2" x 5/8" approximately) but effective. It provides enough field of view to see vehicles approaching from behind. This is not a convex mirror but a normal view mirror. I recommend it so long as you have an additional handle bar convex mirror like the Mirrycle Bicycle mirror if riding on the streets. Together they work great for me.

I mounted my mirror on my helmet's sun visor on the front edge. See picture. In retrospect I would have ordered the non-compact version for increased field of view but as is this mirror meets my needs.

Minus one point since the mirror edges have no rubber or plastic borders. Also, for increase safety a reflective tape mounted on the back of the mirror would have been ideal and may have increased impact resistance.
