A Billion Jokes by Peter Serafinowicz is the kind of book that should easily be enjoyed by anyone who doesn't hate laughter or joy. If you do hate those things, 50 Shades of Grey is also sold my Amazon and you should look that up now. A Billion Jokes isn't quite a billion, of course, but there are quite a few and most of them are quite good. Since it also says, "Volume One," then Peter Serafinowicz should be able to wrap this up in another two volumes or so. Mr. Serafinowicz combines his funny text with old time look graphics to give it at least a bit of the feel of a joke book from the turn of the century. Yes, back in 2001, all joke books looked like this and A Billion Jokes makes us all remember that simpler time when George Bush was considered to be a great speaker and iPods were thicker than sirloin steaks. May favorite joke is probably a letter saying, "Dear Sir/Madam, your gender reassignment surgery was a mixed success." That's the only joke I will reveal.

I do recommend A Billion Jokes if only so you can rip them off and tell your friends and family that you made them up. For that alone, it would be worth the price.

Peter Serafinowicz' A Billion Jokes (Volume One.) is 400 pages according to the Product Details above. Assuming 1 joke per page, and that this publication format continues, the series will be completed in 2,499,999 additional volumes. I am placing my pre-orders now.

The cover says 1,000,000,000 jokes, but that must be in terms of a European standard. After the conversion, it's more like 300 American.

Even then, not all of the one- and two-liners are jokes. For example, writing "How would I know? I'm not a mindreader." is more of a page filler than something you would wet your pants over. (Depends, of course, on you. Or, hopefully - Depends on you - given the state of your bladder.)

Anyway, I don't think I wasted money. For the cost of happy meal, Mr. Serafinowicz has written a low-calorie, low-fat, easily digestible book. But given his comedic talent, I was hoping for material closer to 1,000,000,000 jokes. Damn conversion rates.

I was having a particularly bad day, so I bought this book, because I enjoy reading Peter's twitter feed and figured it would cheer me up some.
I absolutely love this book! Funny stuff, totally stupid and exceedingly brilliant AT THE SAME TIME!

I can't wait for more volumes.

Buy this book, it's very funny.

Remember that guy who played the hilarious neighbor on that Mitch Hurwitz show with GOB and Felicity? He wrote a book! A funny book! With pictures! Read it in the bathroom! Read it on the train! Read it in the sunshine or snowstorm or rain! But seriously, this works great for the toilet because you can just pick it up and put it down and you don't have to remember where you left off or anything, (just don't be surprised when your house guests stay long in there.) In short, if you like laughing you should buy this book.

Loved Serafinowicz since the Look Around You series and his own eponymous show on BBC America. Plus his appearances on Spaced and Shaun of the Dead are classic. May not be for everyone, but hilarious for those who appreciate the dry wit. My only complaint is where is the hardcover or paperback version for the U.S? I did get kindle version when it was available though.

Super funny book. It's all one-two liners, though so it's a quick book to get through. It takes 10 minutes or so. It's great for the coffee table though. When I have friends over they all get a kick out it.

I was told this book was a great toilet read, y'know ... pick it up, put it down, wash your hands etc ... and it is, if you don't mind spending 4 days and nights in the lav laughing like a drain. I resisted food, I lost touch with my family, I nearly laughed my guts inside out. The Noel Edmonds material in particular should come with some kind of warning. I love that his (Edmonds') house party continues to this day but is no longer televised and I thank the author of this hilarious tome for bringing it to my attention.
If you don't buy this book and love it there is a fundamental flaw in your brain. Period.
