Leaving Bluebonnet means starting her life over from scratch, so when Risa gets the opportunity of a lifetime, it’s hard to turn it down. But does her sexy new boss want something more than just an employee?
Until she met a man worth his weight in gold.
Young, hot, and fabulously wealthy, Travis Jesson has no intention of ever returning to his small Texas hometown. Then his grandmother passes away, leaving him her estate and her pet. About the author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Jessica Clare writes under three pen names. As Jessica Clare, she writes erotic contemporary romance. As Jessica Sims, she writes fun, sexy shifter paranormals. She also has a third pen name, because three is more fun than two. As Jill Myles, she writes a little bit of everything, from sexy, comedic urban fantasy to fairy tales gone wrong.
She lives in a teeny tiny town in North Texas that has no Starbucks, which is a cruel and unusual punishment. She spends her time with her husband, pets, and Keurig. Because, coffee.

The story is typical Jessica Clare, well-written, if a little fantastical on the abrupt turn-about of the title character. I will agree with others that this should have been a piggy-back on another Bluebonnet title or maybe free with purchase of another Bluebonnet title. However, I enjoy Jessica Clare's stories, and will continue to read them as long as she writes them.
This story has nothing to do with the series, only that the deceased grandmother has a house in the same small town of Bluebonnet, TX. We do have a cameo from beautician Beth Ann.
Risa Moore is a live-in assistant to an elderly lady who passes away. She is waiting for her boss' grandson to come and take ownership of the house, possessions, and pet. Billionaire Travis Jesson has no intention of slowing down to dispose of his grandmother's estate, but when he tries to dispose of her things, he finds red tape and reluctantly leaves the fast lane to go to Bluebonnet to straighten things out. When he meets the stunning Risa, he proposes a completely different type of arrangement she had with his grandmother.
This story was only so-so. It was quick, to the point, and over before I knew it. The story ends at 60%. The remaining 40% was a preview for book 2 in the series. At this point, I felt ripped off. I paid WAY too much for such a SHORT story.
My verdict? Pass. Too expensive for not much story, and a lackluster story at that.
Would I read it again? No. Once was enough
Would I recommend it? No. Nothing special here.
