Oh, my where to start. Astrid is federal health-and-safety officer and has to file a report on the protype. Well, the night before she was approached by Graves (bad guy) who tried to drag her in a car? Jake (boyfriend supposed to be well you see later) stopped him. Jake was a PI spying on her, but he didn't want anything to happen to her either. The there are his new found family Ivan, Adam & Dylan Quinlan. Now Adam & Dylan are wanting to know everything about the report of hers and they enlist there PI brother to go through her email and other things. Astrid has an ex (Simon) and he treated her horrible and she doesn't like crowds or closed in places. Then there is her sister, Emma who betrays her, but she was just used by both Simon and Graves. The there is Daniel a joke of a sheriff, he double crosses Jake more than once. Emma is kidnapped and Jake and Astrid go to the rescue. That's all. I can't tell you everything. It is well written I could not put it down.
This Quinlan is a bad boy all the way, but not really the way some people say. And when he falls, he falls hard. Luckily, his brothers have been through this. ...
Part of the glory of this book is that Ms Farrell has matured so much as an author, and I've had the joy of watching it. The plot is tighter, there is a fair amount of suspense....And happily ever after is attained in the end.
