I had to laugh at several things in this cute book. One was the name "Pitty Patty" and the other was when the flour got stuck on the rolling pin.
The best thing is that there are a couple of valuable lessons contained in this story. First, ask for help if needed and second, nothing is ever a disaster when doing something nice.
The ending is also special in that Billy Boo and the rest of his friends say what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Most highly recommended.
1 - the importance of asking for help, and
2 - the thankfulness we experience upon receiving it.
Good story, bright cheerful colors and simple, but effective illustrations. And the bonus video was fun too. All in all, excellent value. Plus, the depictions of the Thanksgiving dishes were "scrumpdelicious" too!
Well, I loved the story about Thanksgiving, Billy Boo and his friends and the excitement around the food. The illustrations were lovely, so well done to the author.
Most of all though, I loved the lessons played through the characters. It's actually ok to ask for help... I think males have an inbuilt mechanism that says asking for help is a sign of weakness, which it's not.... it's plain smart!
Well done Lynda!
Love the unique graphics. This is my second book by this author. Good thought, fun bed time story for the Thanksgiving season... Recommended
