Indications

Vitamin D deficiency causes rickets in children, exacerbates osteoporosis and causes osteomalacia in adults. Vitamin D must be taken with adequate amounts of both calcium and magnesium supplementation. When calcium levels are low (due to insufficient vitamin D and calcium intake), the body activates the parathyroid gland, which produces PTH (parathyroid hormone). This hormone kick starts vitamin D hormone production and assists removal of calcium from the bones to be used in more important functions such as neutralizing body acidity.

I take Vit K2, Mk-7 with this product in a ratio of 10,000 units Vit D3 to 200 mcg of Mk-7 and finally my Vit D levels went up to normal. My anti aging doctor wants my blood levels at at least around 70-100ng/ml normally and up to 150ng/ml to fight disease processes like cancer. I have taken 10,000 units of Vit D for many years and until I used these products together, my levels were always around 25 ng/ml. I read a helpful book called, "Miraculous Results of High Levels of Vit D3 and Mk-7" by Jeff Bowles and learned this concept and a whole lot of documented history as to why conventional doctors talk about toxicity so much when the risk is very low and people are literally dying for lack of Vit D3. My whole body feels better, my hormones are more balanced, my bones are like a teenager's and aches and pains gone. The Mk-7 works to put calcitonin into the bones and teeth and not into the soft tissues which is the reason doctors are concerned with toxicity. At this ratio, I take 2-3 capsules a week and get these results. I found out that 85% of people are way deficient in Vit D and some have a mutated gene where the Vit D3 they take and the sun they get isn't converted to useable Vit D3 in their body...I am one of those. The Vit K2, Mk-7 is my answer! I also got rid of fibroid tumors and still have all my body parts!

Not a doctor, but if you take 50,000 iu for each 50 lbs of weight you are, for 10 days, it will "FIX'' MANY if not most of your ailments.

Example: 200 LBS person, would take 4 of the 50,000 iu's each day for 10 days. Not at once, try to spread it out throughout the day. Not sure of the reaction if taken all at once.
Vitamin D is an immune Vitamin. Now go get healthy .. (i am not a doctor nor would I give any kind of professional advise on medical anything, this is just what I did becaus a doctor told me)

I have been taking Vitamin D3 for the longest time now because my work keeps me in doors when the sun is out. I started as taking D2 (the vegan vitamin D) at 5-10 thousand dosage, but my blood levels took forever to go up. I was prescribed 50,000iu of D2 once a week, and it took me 2 months to bring my vitamin D blood levels to go up significantly to acceptable levels. Once my 1,25 dihydroxycholecalciferol (most active vitamin D3) went up to normal level (60,000ng), i felt so much better- no more back pains and fibromyalgia-like discomfort.
Then, I sort of fell off with my intake of vitamin D supplements and I suffered from brain fog, weakness/easy fatiguability and chronic joint and bone and muscle pains. A naturopathic doctor recommended to me to take 50,000iu of vitamin D3 once a day! At first I was really skeptic. Was the dosage too high? Would I become toxic? I went ahead anyway and took the 50,000iu once a day. After taking it for 2 months, my levels went soaring high (120,000ng+) and I got my "self" back. I could think with more clarity. I could work without too much pain. My vitamin D3 levels are kept within normal levels as I take this supplement WISELY. This is my second purchase of this product, and I am very satisfied about it.

Easy size to swallow - I have problems with large pills

I did research back when there was no treatment for Malignant Melanoma (I was diagnosed at stage 2) other than surgery. Chemo was worthless then - very good now. Back 15 years ago I found European medical journal reports showing D-3 in large doses would double life expectancy. Back then I had to get a prescription to get high doses of D-3 and wrote a booklet about the results of the studies because most people can't access them. I now take this tiny and very inexpensive capsule regularly . I'm a 15 year cancer survivor. (I'm NOT a doctor, I'm a journalist who does technical and medical reporting. John McCormick, member, Union of Concerned Scientists, member, National Press Club and AAAS. BTW, evidence suggests expiration dates on powdered, sealed drugs aren't very important.

Good high-dose vitamin D

My doc put me on 100,000 iu of vitamin D once/week. He initially had me taking the prescription version (actually vitamin D2), but I did a little research and it seems like D3 is supposed to provide more vitamin D so I switched to these. He told me we could try it for 6 months and then would do lab work to make sure they were working. Lab work came back great - my Vit D levels were up where they were supposed to be. I've been taking these Vit D3 capsules for the past several years and my (now yearly) Vit D blood levels have remained right where they should be.

My Vit D levels were super low a couple years ago (who knew!). I was shocked when my doctor told me and I did a lot of reading and learned how important it is to keep Vit D levels normal. My doctor started me on "Stoss" therapy, which is one dose of 50,000 iu Vit D per week for 12 to 16 weeks. Vit D3 is really what one should take and NOT the prescription Vit D2 formula. So I ordered this product immediately and did not take the prescription Vit D my doctor wrote. Sometimes doctors do not know all they should! Anyway, blood retested after 16 weeks and my levels were normal, probably for the first time in years.

I then read about a maintenance dosage of 1 pill (50,000 iu) every TWO weeks once normal levels have been achieved from the Stoss regimen, and that's exactly what I'm doing. My Vit D levels are maintained in the normal range, so I will keep this dosage going forever, unless something in my bloodwork changes. It's very important to get your Vit D levels tested at least a couple times a year. I get a battery of blood tests done every 4 months since I have other health issues to manage.

This every other week dosage of 1 50K iu pill regimen works for me and is convenient. I have a reminder set in smartphone calender so I get pinged when the day arrives to take a dose. I take the pill with a meal, as recommended. No side effects whatsoever. Easy peasy. Oh and the size of the pill is really small. I thought I'd have to take a horsepill size capsule, but it's tiny, considering the amount of Vit D3 you're taking. Win!
