First, it has a very uneven lighting pattern. Like a cheap flashlight from the Fifties, it casts a beam that's bright in the middle and falls off rapidly toward the edges. That's particularly annoying in a headlamp, because the slightest head movement causes that hot spot to jump around, and your eye tends to follow it. In short, it's distracting, and there's no reason it needs to be that way. I've owned cheap, generic headlamps that provide a perfectly even illumination field. Not this one.
Second, the tiny on/off button is right next to the equally tiny tab that you have to push and pull to tilt the headlamp. As a result, it's way too easy to turn off the light when you just want to tilt it. These vital controls need to be larger and much further apart.
UPDATE: I've had this headlamp for two months now, and the more I use it, the more irritating I'm finding the extremely tiny on/off button and tilting tab. I've reduced my rating to two stars because this product is so annoying to use.
Light and battery separated so no heavy light up front = no bounce!
So comfortable it goes right onto head with nothing needed underneath
Easy to adjust to head/hat size
Various light modes, max mode is very bright
4 tilt angles...and they STAY in place. :)
Band functions as a sweat-wicking head band
Battery great for anybody but ultra-runners
Con: (Just one)
In tilt mode, if you want to adjust you almost always press the light button causing a mode switch or power off. There really should be a tab sticking up on other side of bulb to be used for adjusting angle. The power button is the only tab that sticks up so you have to have your finger on that for adjusting modes.
Definitely recommend and would easily buy again.
August 1, 2020: I tried carefully handwashing the band. This is definitely not waterproof. It shorted out to perma-on for at least half a day, then finally dried out enough to turn off when mashing the button with the bottom of a pen. Now the switch is a lot less responsive.

It has a few settings including spotlight and floodlights which are good and you can dim the light and angle it down towards the ground. (There is a really good youtuoe video that shows you how to use all the features).
It dosen't get dimmer and dimmer as the battery dies which is good and it's easy to charge. All round a great and well thought out product with comfort being it's best qualaty in my opinion.
