Works on Cat Urine!

I have a 2 yr old male cat that had cystitis and we found he peed on my NEW couch inbetween both cushions which were non removable. I doused it with a typical cat urine removing product Plus injected the cushions with the same product, let it sit and then shampooed the large wet area with a spot bot bissell cleaner; results = it stunk even worse of a combination of cat urine and the product we used. A week later, we found the area saturated again - 2 MORE times! - the cat went back to it. UGH. Then I tried agent orange as directed on the bottle (still injecting it into the couch). OMG - do not get that product for upholstery. It reeked so bad of an orange industrial smell that neither my husband or I wanted to sit on the couch! 1 month later, I tried vinegar and water (injecting and shampooing) to try to get the smell out and the vinegar smell DID NOT go away. I was at my wits end when I tried this product. FINALLY. OMG - it completely took ALL smells out, my couch is back to great shape and my cat has not gone back to it! GET IT! FYI - it you do this to a piece of upholstery I suggest a strong fan on it over many days plus adding a dehumidifier to prevent mildew and mold. I kept air blowing on my couch for 5 to 7 days while running my dehumidifier.

Congratulations on finding Biokleen. Especially if you've got a senior cat with litter box issues!!
This is one of the few enzyme cleaners that fully eliminates cat pee odor from new cat pee spots. I found out that not all enzyme cleaners use the appropriate enzymes to remove cat urine. Apparently Biokleen uses the correct enzymes, otherwise I wouldn't get such great results. I've told other cat people & now they're hooked on it as well. Just be careful on hardwood floors, it lightened mine when I left it on. I'd rather have to restain my floor, than smell cat urine. Yuck.
I've also found it useful on:
-greasy stovetops & burnt on foods
-stains that didn't come out of white carpet after shampooing
-speeds up slow drains, so the shower won't turn into a bath
-I've even used it to pretreat laundry stains, whenever I've run out of my usual product.
-It even removes blood!
In fact, anytime & everytime I ever run into something that won't come perfectly clean, I reach for the Biokleen!

This is the only natural stain remover I've found that actually works! I am terrible about forgetting to put stain remover on my kids' clothes. Since my daughter has gotten old enough to help with her own laundry, I've had her put a dollop of this stuff on any fresh splotches that show up on her clothing. We've been using it for about two years, and it has drastically cut down on the stains on her clothes... maybe even eliminated them, although I'm not sure if I've been paying close enough attention to say so for sure. I read somewhere a review from a mom who had a spray bottle of it near each kid's laundry hamper, so they could spray a bit on each stain right when they take off their clothes, then let it sit until the next washing. This has been on my to-do list for some time, and I'm pretty sure it would work! I've even used this a few times on already-set stains... the kinds that have already gone through the washer and dryer... and have seen significant improvement.

Cat pee scent is nearly impossible to remove until you buy this cleaner! Long story short we have a sweet, loving cat that likes to pee on our couches. It’s her only flaw but an expensive one. I’ve lost track of all the different cleaners and homemade remedies that I’ve tried. This is seriously the only thing that actually took the smell away!! It took a few applications for it to fully work but it did. It took the foul smell out and replaced it with a fresh scent. Most cleaners I tried almost made the smell worse with the artificial scent. This cleaner has a really nice, mild lime scent that isn’t to strong. It worked on an older spot and a newer one. I haven’t used it on any other stain yet but if it can work on cat pee I think it’ll work on anything!!

Great product, bottle leaked

Bac-Out -- it works as advertised. It's particularly useful for getting rid of BO odors that can accumulate over time on clothing (I bike to work in my work-clothes). We also use it on dish rags and cloth diapers with good results.

However, I took off a star because the bottles can leak in shipment. I ordered a 16oz and a 32oz bottle. The 16oz bottle leaked in shipment -- not much, but enough that my wife used the leakage to treat a single load of laundry. The 32oz bottle didn't leak. I'm not sure if I just lucked out with the 32oz bottle, or if it's more leak-proof, but the 32oz bottle is a better deal so I'll be ordering that one in the future.

Bac-Out is a great product, but I would like to see the manufacturer re-evaluate the bottle. The existing bottle is probably fine for retail (where the bottle is likely to stay right side up?) but, for mail order, something with a tighter seal is necessary.
