bought to convert an older SD-SDI source to NDI for my new Tricaster TC-1 and the BirdDog clams to support it but it does not I contacted support and they said it was a misprint on there website. Apparently it is also a miss print on many sites that sell the BirdDog because they all list it supporting SD or SMPTE-259. On the Upside it works well for HD

Such a promising device, but like most manufactures in this space, they failed to deliver. First the pros. It's POE, it has both SDI and HDMI in and out, it has a big dot matrix display which shows basic info and also doubles as a tally, and the UI is neat and clean. The cons. No WiFi, it's not compatible with all NDI broadcast software (apparently due to a lack of the HX codec), the dot matrix display does not do anything but work as a tally light despite the manufacturer saying otherwise, it does not play well with the NewTek NDI application (which is the recommended application to monitor the output), and last but not least, ZEEEEEEEROOOOOOO manufacture support.
