There's a very nice short poem written in the book; [Quote] Birds and Ice
The ice was here, the ice was there, The ice was all around: It cracked and growled, and roared and howled, Like noises in a swound! --Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner [End quote].
This book is one that I've owned since 2003 and I always go back to it when I see any documentaries about lake Erie. I use the book to get some details of each birds when watching those documentaries. All in all its a great book and I'll recommend the book for any bird lovers and readers.
