The Good: Honestly, it didn't get good until the last few chapters of the book. The action scenes kept me engaged.
The bad: This book was rushed and you can tell when reading. The author jumps from scene to scene and different characters in a way that had me lost. The first two books were not like this. It was like the author was trying to squeeze in as much as possible in this book. Maybe this book was the filler book for the rest of the series and needed to set up the storyline and answer previous questions. I could have done with more mystery for a slower paced book.
The Ugly: There were a lot of grammatical errors in this book. I would touch my face to see if I had my glasses on because I couldn't believe it. The reason I was so surprised was because the previous books didn't have this problem. I hope this gets better in the 4th book.
Overall, I didn't like the book, but I am invested in the storyline and want to to see it through the to end. Hopefully I will enjoy the next book. If you like reading books in order then read this one. If not, I would skip it and move on to the next in the series.
Much love for SA and her books
The characters in the series display raw energy, passion and deep thoughts. They could be anyone out there, who is threatened by enemies. I couldn't put the book down.
I could NOT stop reading this book. I had to hurry and complete tasks so that I could treat myself to the continuation of reading this book.!
It was NEVER boring! I had vowed that I wouldn't purchase any more books until after Christmas so I could have some extra Christmas money. That vow was broken after the first read of BirthRight!
This book was well put together with depth. I truly rode the roller coaster of emotions and excitement of this series. I completely enjoyed this series and Did Not want to try and guess ahead the future turns of events. I love the surprised solutions to problems and was afraid some punishments would be dealt like "Primal" animals without regard to life. I loved the justice and GRACE. I'm in love with Jasmine and Silas' commitment, respect and love for each other.
Not really a spoiler alert, but I case someone think this statement is, I'm showing respect......
The way Silas cherishes Jasmine make that criteria for relationship that much meaningful. They had their fraught for the UNITY was awesome and not just physical, but emotionally and mentally.
Kudos Sydney, you ARE my new favorite author with this series. I love how you incorporated the diversity of Love and relationships!!!
So when is the next book?!
By the time you get off the roller coaster at the final page, you may want to return and read it a second time - it's so well written and presented. As each book closes, the Cliff- hanger leaves you anxious to get to the next one - but the nuances waiting to come to light after this one will lead you right back to that favorite reading spot! Unfortunately, with 5 overtime work days ahead of me, I probably will have to wait until then, as I want to be alert when I begin the fourth book!
