What he says about men only caring if you are hot is both true and not true. 'Hot' is subjective. What is hot to some, is not hot to others. I think the author could have expounded on that point by detailing what 'hot' is. Simply put, being hot has little to do with your physical attributes and more to do with your self confidence, how you carry yourself, your behavior, and your intellect. The bottom line is, health men are attracted to healthy women, so instead of trying to attract a man, you should be taking care of yourself and working on improving your own life. If you want to attract a quality man, then BE a quality women.
The author acts like he is revealing deep dark secrets, but they actually aren't secrets at all. For instance, he states that most handsome and successful men would rather spend time casually dating multiple women before choosing to be in an exclusive relationship. I don't think this is a news flash to anyone. Some of the more catty and insidious tips for increasing your chances of getting a boyfriend include getting plastic surgery and hanging out with girlfriends who are less attractive.
The entire book wasn't garbage. There were certain things I agree with, but there wasn't enough value in this book for me to give it more than a 1-star rating. Thankfully, this book was free when I downloaded it. I'm also grateful that the length of the book is very short. If you want to read a great book with a lot more depth and insight about dating, I would recommend "Get the Guy: Learn the Secrets of the Male Mind to Find the Man You Want and the Love You Deserve" by Matthew Hussey.
So, you may be wondering. Why does my review say "verified purchase" when I gave her the gift? Because I bought one for myself! She couldn't stop talking about how good it was. So, I had to see for myself. And I have to say, it's pretty good. Some of the humor may be a bit blue for some tastes, and all the talk of sluts and the importance of appearance would definitely offend feminist or religious sensibilities. However, as a man, I found the book entertaining. And for women who need this information, it's vital.
